If they could salvage a point at the Etihad, it would be a feat, but even if they don't, they have a winnable two games next, when they host Southampton and travel to Liverpool to play Everton.
MANCHESTER CITY VS BOURNEMOUTH MATCH ANALYSIS
Manchester City have no new injury woes. Rahim Sterling is their on-form player (27 goals this season, scoring his third hat trick of the season), while Gabriel Jesus (20 goals this season) will again step in for the sidelined Sergio Aguero. While they might not need the Argentinian against Brighton, they desperately need him back if they want to progress to the finals of the Champions League.
Against Brighton they should have enough firepower to create plenty of chances and to put the game to bed early. Brighton's defense probably won't be as resilient as Southampton's was ten days ago.
Dominic Solanke was their unlikely savior on Sunday, scoring his first two goals for the Cherries in his career. Leicester's defence, namely goalkeeper Schmeichel, was at fault for their equalizer and Soyuncu saw a straight red after kicking a Bournemouth player. Nevertheless, Bournemouth still had the nerves to see the game out and brace themselves for the most important three games of the season.
