Preston didn't make a flying start to this new season with two identical 0-1 home defeats to Swansea and Stoke and a 2-2 draw with Norwich in the second round. MATCH ANALYSIS
Preston have started the season on the wrong foot, but a sensational second-half fightback to sink the Bees before the international break can give them a confidence boost ahead of the Sunday's match. The Lilywhites had found the net just three times in their opening six games, but stunned Brentford with four goals in 18 second-half minutes and comfortably held out for only a second victory in their past 15 visits to Brentford. Preston have established themselves as a mid-table club in the last five campaigns as they have finished 11th,11th,7th,14th and 9th, and the big question is if they can break into that top-six bracket this season.
