Fiorentina ended 2020 with an astonishing 3-0 victory away to Juventus, while Bologna fought back to hold Atalanta 2-2.
The Viola’s year had been pretty disastrous until the unexpected triumph in Turin, giving new coach Cesare Prandelli a much-needed boost. They hope to take that momentum forward against a Bologna side that is winless in five, but unbeaten in three. Sinisa Mihajlovic says he couldn’t ask more from 2020: ‘I remained alive.’ The Serbian tactician spoke after Bologna’s 2-2 draw against Atalanta and said that players gave him the perfect present for the end of the year. “We never give up, it’s no coincidence we have won so many points from losing position. Rodrigo Palacio flicked on the Emanuel Vignato corner for Neuhen Paz to nod in at the back stick, relatively undisturbed for the final 2-2.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious.
