Arsenal host Norwich at the Emirates (London) in the 4th round of the 2021/22 Premier League season and the match kicks off at 3 pm (UK) on Saturday, September 11. Read our reasons for Arsenal vs Norwich prediction and betting tips.
ARSENAL AND NORWICH LOCKED IN THE BATTLE OF THE BOTTOM
Norwich and Arsenal have both made awful starts to the season, but that should ensure they will be determined to inflict more misery on their opponents when they meet at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The Canaries’ travails have come as little surprise after they won promotion last season. However, the fixtures have not been kind to them with opening clashes against Liverpool, Man City and FA Cup winners Leicester, so they have hardly had a chance to feel their way in. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s woes have accumulated over the last three weeks with listless performances against Brentford, Chelsea and Man City, and the pressure would be on manager Mikel Arteta if the Gunners fall to the underdogs.
ARTETA NEEDS A CONVINCING WIN
A strong Arsenal XI beat a young Brentford side 4-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at London Colney on Thursday. The Gunners squad featured several players who aren’t away on international duty and Mikel Arteta will surely be very pleased to see them getting some minutes under their belt. Crucially for the Spanish boss, Ben White playing alongside Gabriel at the back for the first time - two defenders he will be hoping to start at home to Norwich next weekend.
However, the worst ever start to a league season leaves them bottom of the EPL - a galling enough situation for fans made worse with rivals Tottenham topping the table! It would be a surprise if they didn’t get something out of this fixture though, as they haven’t lost a home league game against the Canaries in eight meetings. Averaging exactly three goals per game during that sequence, coach Mikel Arteta will hope for more of the same to relieve some of the mounting pressure on him.
ANOTHER THOUGH EARLY TEST FOR THE CANARIES
Norwich’s Premier League return has seen them play Liverpool, Manchester City, and Leicester. It would have been difficult even if they hadn’t lost a good proportion of their pre-season to a Covid-19 outbreak in the squad. The performance against Leicester offered plenty of encouragement. City were a marginal offside call away from taking a point against a team expected to challenge for the top four.
Despite Norwich’s worst-ever start to a league campaign after three games and a -9 goal difference the arrival of Mathias Normann from FC Rostov on Sunday and means City now have the defensive midfielder they have evidently lacked so far. With money made from Emi Buendia’s sale smartly reinvested across the squad and 35 games still to go there is no panic at Carrow Road. But defeats will have to be replaced by actual Premier League points before long or they will have a lot of catching up to do.

Three of the host's and each of the visitor's last six outings in all competitions have witnessed at least three goals being scored. The defenses have conceded a combined 19 goals and the international break did not give them an opportunity to sort out the problems. Both teams should take a positive approach though, so it is worth taking a chance and go for over 2.5 goals for our BettingKick’s Arsenal vs Norwich prediction.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
