Brighton host Everton at The Amex Stadium (Brighton) in the 3rd round of the 2021/22 Premier League season and the match kicks off at 3 pm (UK) on Saturday, August 28. Read our reasons for Brighton vs Everton prediction and betting tips.
EXPECT AN ENTERTAINING AFTERNOON OF FOOTBALL AT THE AMEX
Following their best-ever start to a top-flight season, Graham Potter's side will be full of confidence after two wins from two to start the campaign and have received a further boost with the news striker Neal Maupay's shoulder problem is not as serious as first feared. The Seagulls have a place in the top four, behind leaders West Ham, Chelsea, and Liverpool on goal difference, but can Potter's side keep it going into the international break? Meanwhile, after two league games in charge, Benitez is unbeaten as Toffees boss. Everton will be disappointed not to have held on for a second successive win at Leeds but will be pleased with a display that showcased what Benitez is aiming for with the team. They will cause problems with their pace and dynamism in attack - Calvert-Lewin the focal point of which a host of lively forwards dart and dash with intent.
SEAGULLS IN A GOOD PLACE BUT IT IS JUST A START
Shane Duffy has come out of the wilderness to lead Brighton to a win at Burnley and on Saturday, set the Seagulls on their way to a comfortable win over Watford with a towering header. Meanwhile, as the calls for a new striker continue, Neal Maupay reminded Seagulls fans they already have a competent forward in their ranks. An assured finish and the second goal in as many games all but secured the three points. Sadly the Frenchman now faces a spell on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
A lively AMEX crowd played their part to see the team home and celebrated back-to-back wins to start a Premier League season for the first time. Graham Potter's side will be buoyed by their sixth consecutive Premier League win and an impressive start to the new campaign, with the likes of Danny Welbeck and Tariq Lamptey still to return from injury The future looks bright under Graham Potter and after such a good start, few would bet against more special moments across the season.
BENITEZ ON THE RIGHT TRACK
Everton can be pleased with their point at Leeds. Yes, they will be frustrated at conceding twice but against a raucous Elland Road crowd witnessing their team back in the top flight for the first time since promotion, Everton were no pushovers. They showed enough of a threat up front and sufficient sturdiness in defending to prove they have plenty about them under Rafael Benitez, who will have enjoyed the character his side are developing.
Benitez’ though still need to sort out their defensive issues as Toffees have conceded seven goals in their last two Premier League away games, as many as they had in their previous 12 on the road. On a more positive note, Demarai Gray is proving a shrewd buy early in the campaign and appears to be thriving on the regular football he didn’t always see at Leicester. They’re not the finished article and it's early days, but four points out of six is a solid start and give them something to build on.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
