EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE DRAW PRETTY MUCH ON CARDS HERE
Cardiff were made to work for their point up at Peterborough on Tuesday night. Harrison Burrows and Siriki Dembele caught City cold and smacked home two goals in two minutes just after the break, leaving Mick McCarthy reeling after the match. But Aden Flint came to Cardiff's rescue, scoring two goals in the final 10 minutes of the match to rescue a draw from the jaws of defeat. As for Millwall, Aleksandar Mitrovic scored after just three minutes and Fabio Carvalho doubled the Cottagers lead after eight minutes which gave Millwall a massive mountain to climb in midweek. The visitors' pace and rapid breakaways meant that the Lions struggled to get players back to defend Fulham’s attacks and are now left in pursuit of their first win of the campaign.
BLUEBIRDS GO AIR-BORNE
The Bluebirds were staring at a first defeat of the campaign after conceding twice in three minutes against Peterborough early in the second half, but City responded with an aerial bombardment of a Posh defence which lost influential captain Mark Beevers to injury. It paid dividends late on as Marlon Pack picked out Flint for an 83rd-minute reply before again being the supplier of the cross for the last-gasp leveller in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
Cardiff have scored five goals so far in this Championship campaign and, incredibly, all of them have been headers. It's probably a measure of two things; Cardiff's proficiency from long throw-ins and corners plus Ryan Giles and Pack's superb deliveries into the box so far in this campaign. But it also hints at the sort of squad McCarthy has available to him at the minute. Cardiff are a creative player light, so their hand is forced in terms of the way they play, which, unfortunately, will probably not get them anywhere close to play-offs.
MILLWALL RUE LACK OF ATTACKING OPTIONS
Fulham’s two goals in the opening minutes of the game ensured that the three points would head to West London and hand The Lions a first defeat of the 2021/22 campaign, despite Benik Afobe's late consolation. Gary Rowett made two changes from the side which drew 1-1 with Blackburn on Saturday afternoon, as Mahlon Romeo and Ryan Leonard came into the side at the expense of Danny McNamara and George Evans, who both dropped to the bench.
Millwall obviously lack a player who can score regularly, which would give Millwall a crucial element that they have been missing in recent seasons. Millwall did a lot of their business early, however, they are now at a stage where they need to attempt to strengthen in what is a key area of the field of play. Another creative player would help to take some of the strain of the likes of Jed Wallace in the final third and it would in theory give them yet another option that they don’t currently have at their disposal.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
