It is hard to say what is wrong with the world champions, but France is not getting the results nor play as expected. Two consecutive draws against Bosnia and Ukraine they must upgrade to the win against Finland on Tuesday. Read our reasons for France vs Finland prediction and betting tips.
Penalty defeat against the Swiss at the EURO was a heavy blow for France. The atmosphere in the locker room was disturbed, the authority of Deschamps was shaken. The level of performance is far from what you expect from a world champion. France still looks very good on paper, but on the pitch, it is a team that can be defeated and that performs below its usual level. If the match against Bosnia was a bad day, what about the duel against Ukraine, where nothing has changed. In some segments of the game, France was even worse, and selector Deschamps seemed to have no solution to the problems his team has.
Against Ukraine, France had to be saved by Martial, which in Manchester Utd has neither the status nor the minutes it had in previous years. The good thing is that Deschamps did not repeat the experiment in the right-back position. Dubois looked much better in that position than Kimpembe, otherwise the central defender, who played out of his natural role in the game against Bosnia. Mbappe is out injured, Benzema still needs time to gel after a long time out of the national team. Midfield with Rabiot and Pogba doesn’t look good at the moment, but they are still a high-quality team and unbeaten in this group.
France: Lloris; Dubois, Varane, Kimpembe, Digne; Rabiot, Veretout, Pogba; Griezmann; Benzema, Martial
Finland defeated Kazakhstan with a lot of trouble, but with five points from three games, it is still in the game for the best positions in the group. Although it seemed that this would be an easy group for France, at the moment the only victories were achieved by the French against Bosnia and Kazakhstan and the Finns against Kazakhstan on Saturday. That says enough about how even the group is, and every possible result is not surprising. What was the most important for Finland, they beat a tough rival at home, broke their defense at the start of the second half, and kept a clean sheet.
The attacking tandem of Pohjanpalo and Pukki has shown that it can create a problem for any team, but it seems that the rest of the squad is far below their level. Although they played in the European Championship and defeated Denmark there, the feeling is that Finland is not an elite football team. They could make a problem for the French because they defend very well, they are excellent in defense and very good in counterattacks, but they will hardly be able to last 90 minutes to play without a mistake with the same tactics and wait for the opponent's error.
Finland: Hradecky; Vaisanen, Arajuuri, O'Shaughnessey; Alho, Valakari, Kamara, Taylor, Uronen; Pohjanpalo, Pukki

The French are big favorites to win the next match, but as they have problems in attack, we believe that Finland could keep them goalless for most of the match. BettingKick’s France vs Finland prediction is: Under 2,5 goals.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
