Fulham host Hull at the Craven Cottage (London) in the 4th round of the Championship and the match kicks off at 3 pm (UK) on Saturday, August 21. Read our reasons for Fulham vs Hull prediction and betting tips.
FULHAM VS HULL: FACTS & STATS
Fulham last hosted Hull in a league match in November 2019, losing 3-0 against a Tigers side who would go on to be relegated at the end of the season. Thus, Hull are in position to look for consecutive away league wins over Fulham for the first time since October 1911. Hull will be further encouraged as they’ve won seven of their last 10 away league matches (D2, L1), beating Preston 4-1 in their first away game in this season’s Championship. As for players to keep your eey on,Including play-off matches, Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has been involved in 23 goals in 31 Championship appearances at Craven Cottage (20 goals, 3 assists), while similarly, Hull will expect magic from Josh Magennis, who followed his 18 league goals last season with one in this season’s opener.
FULHAM VS HULL: PRE-MATCH TALK
Favoured to return to the top-flight immediately, Fulham fans will be encouraged as the club has made its best three-game (W2, D1) start to a league since 2000/01. New manager Marco Silva has eased into his role, but problems at the back do continue to linger as the Cottagers have failed to keep a clean sheet in their opening three matches, extending that unwanted record to 13 matches in total. Home form will need attention if Fulham harbour serious promotion ambitions, as the 1-1 draw in their last home game means they’ve tasted victory just once in their last 12 home league games (W1, D2, L9).
Hull City, on the other hand, have not enjoyed the same fortune as their hosts. Last season’s League One champions made a flying start to life back in the second-tier after winning 4-1 against Preston on opening day, but consecutive losses now means the Tigers have lost eight of their last nine matches, suffering three straight defeats in all competitions. Crucially, consecutive failures to score – against QPR (0-3) and Derby (0-1) in the league - have underlined the challenges for the relatively unproven strike force at this level to break tight defences.
FULHAM VS HULL: TEAM NEWS
For Fulham, Tom Cairney and Terence Kongolo are both set to miss out on Saturday's game due to injury. Anthony Knockaert and Harrison Reed are both doubts as they continue to recover from injury. Harry Wilson is another absentee as the Welshman continues his suspension.
Hull City also have three players unavailable for the game against Fulham. Ryan Longman, George Honeyman and Mallik Wilks are all out with injuries. George Moncur is currently serving a three-game suspension and will also be unavailable.

Fulham have been very impressive under new manager Marco Silva and are unbeaten under the Portuguese. They have scored eight goals in three games so far, the second-most in the Championship. The Cottagers will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games against Hull City. Hull City, on the other hand, began the season in a very strong fashion. They have however fallen off the pace and are on a three-game losing streak. It should extend to four against Fulham.
