When Patrik Schick and Erling Haaland meet on the pitch on a Saturday only you can expect are goals. Read our reasons for Leverkusen vs Dortmund prediction and betting tips.
Czech striker was a joint-top scorer at EURO with great confidence started new Bundesliga season. After Leverkusen's subpar performance and 1-1 draw against Union Berlin Schick scored in the second and third round vs Gladbach and Augsburg. Leverkusen needed such a good start as they changed coach in the summer. Ex-Young Boys coach Gerardo Seoane fine great synergy with the players and sports sector of the club from the start and they have a very positive atmosphere in the dressing room. Jamaican Leon Bailey's transfer to Aston Villa didn't hurt their roster as Mousa Diaby stepped in as a great attacking force.
South American duo Charles Aranguiz and Exequiel Palacios could miss the game after matches with the national teams so the new signing Robert Andrich could get a bigger role in the midfield. They will wait a little bit more for Lucas Alario as he is still struggling with the injury. Leverkusen is trying to mix styles through each game. They are dominant in ball possession in the beginning, but if they score, they usually switch to a more direct approach, playing on counters. With Dortmund they could be more defensive from the start, to found open spaces for Diaby and Brasilian Paulinho who is playing excellent after a long time out with injury.
Leverkusen: Hradecky (c) - Frimpong, Kossounou, Tah, Bakker - Andrich, Demirbay - Diaby, Wirtz, Paulinho - Schick
Out: Aranguiz (international duty), Baumgartlinger (knee), Fosu-Mensah (knee), Hincapie (international duty), Palacios (international duty), Tapsoba (ankle)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Gerardo Seoane
Dortmund is still one of the teams with the biggest potential in their roster, despite they lost one of the best players. Jadon Sancho has transferred to Manchester United but most of the team from the last season is still there. They brought in Malen from PSV who is trying to settle as soon as possible, but some habits from his time in Eindhoven are still there. They have a long injury list but if you look on the starting lineup, this is a very strong team, capable to win against anyone in this league.
New coach Marco Rose is also adapting to the pressure that any game apart from a match from Bayern is there to be won, and with Haaland, on the pitch, they must play some attacking, entertaining, and high tempo football. Norwegian striker played on the highest level for his county, providing hat-trick in the game against Gibraltar, and scoring against Netherlands and Latvia. He made his mark also in the Bundesliga, as he scored three times in as many matches, helping Dortmund to make a turnaround in the last game against Hoffenheim. That 3-2 win was a great example of how Dortmund can turn things around in a matter of seconds and win the game.
Dortmund: Kobel - Meunier, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro - Bellingham, Dahoud, Brandt - Reus (c) - Haaland, Malen
Out: Can (thigh), Coulibaly (knee), Morey (knee), Reyna (thigh), Schmelzer (knee), Tigges (thigh), Zagadou (knee)
Doubtful: Hazard (ankle), Pongracic (back), Schulz (thigh)
Coach: Marco Rose

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
