With Ibrahimovic and Giroud still unfit after injury and virus, Milan will put Ante Rebic again in the central striker role. Lazio started brightly and will try to preserve undefeated status. Read our reasons for Milan vs Lazio prediction and betting tips.
Stefano Pioli was full of praise for the management, saying that this Milan side is the best in his career. A big roster, filled with potential and experience is needed if the club wants to compete for the title again and play a significant role in the UCL. Without Ibrahimovic at the start of the season, new signing Olivier Giroud stepped in the starting lineup and provided like in his every other club. Frenchman is a great addition, able to score beautiful goals, but also very capable to play as an anchor and opening space for his teammates. Giroud scored a brace against Cagliari ahead of the international break but then tested positive for coronavirus and isolated.
He will carry out the medical tests at Milanello on the eve of the match against Lazio but he will be available for the UCL match Milan will play against Liverpool in midweek. Zlatan Ibrahimovic trained with the team, and Franck Kessie also recovered from injury but should be on the bench. Pioli is more than satisfied with Sandro Tonali’s progress after the last tough season for a teenager who played without consistency.
Milan (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo; Tonali, Kessié; Florenzi, Diaz, Leao, Ibrahimovic
Suspended: none
Injured: Krunic (in doubt)
Maurizio Sarri waited for another chance full season. Several clubs tried to catch his attention but only Lazio pushed enough to brought him to Rome. Lazio couldn’t find any agreement with Simone Inzaghi, and Sarri jumped in. Lazio preserved the core of the team, no one important left, and players like Felipe Anderson and Pedro arrived. Competition for the starting lineup is tougher than the last term and this could be crucial for Lazio, who is trying to play once again in the UCL. Immobile misfired again with the national team, but his form in the club is on the highest level. He scored three goals in the first half against Spezia.
Manuel Lazzari picked an injury before the international break, so Montenegrin wing-back Adam Marusic should replace him on the right side. The group phase of the UEL is close enough, it will not be so easy against Galatasaray, but Sarri is not expected to rotate his squad much against the Rossoneri. Hysaj scored in the last match, and he will play from the start as a left-back. Milinković-Savić and Luis Alberto will try to use their creativity as Pedro, Immobile and Felipe Anderson will wait for quick counters.
Lazio (4-3-3): Reina; Marusic, Luiz Felipe, Acerbi, Hysaj; Milinkovic-Savic, Lucas Leiva, Luis Alberto; Pedro, Immobile, Felipe Anderson
Suspended: none
Injured: none

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
