Nice and Marseille haven't lost a single game so far in the new season. This weekend, though, they will be testing who’s stronger than the other. Nice has preserved a clean sheet and will be hoping to keep their winning streak going when they play their rivals, Marseille. Marseille will be determined to get their second victory at the Allianz Rivera Stadium.
Nice was able to dominate against Reims at the start of the season, and the game finished in a scoreless draw. Lille, the defending league winners, were the opponents in the second match. Nice trounced them 4-0 at the Stade de Lille. Nice came out of the blocks quickly in search of goals, and by the conclusion of the first half, they had three in hand. Mentioning Kasper Dolberg's goal in less than a minute after the game began and Hickem Boudaoui's goal in the fifth minute of play. In the second half, he added another goal, Gouiri scored a penalty, and VAR rejected his goal in the 70th minute as a result. Marseille should have gotten a warning, and they will be the next team to be axed by the squad.
Montpellier was defeated 3-2 by Marseille in a hard-fought match. After Marseille falling behind 2-0 in the first half, Under C and Dimitri Payet came to the team's aid to bring it back into contention. Dimitri Payet's first goal was disallowed by VAR, but he went on to score an equalizer and the winning goal in a five-minute duration. Surely, this is the player to keep an eye on when they take on Nice on Sunday. The last game, which took place in Bordeaux, was an exciting affair in which the two clubs were ahead 2-0 in each half. Marseille had taken the lead in the first half via Payet and Under C, but Bordeaux's substitutes Pembele T and Oudin battled to keep the game level.
Marseille has won four of their previous five meetings against Nice, who won 3-0 over Marseille in their most recent home match. Nice manager Christophe Galtier is seeking to improve the team's position from 9th to a higher position this season and potentially gain a spot in European football. Marseille will most certainly lose if they remain anchored to their past. - Nice appears to have recovered from their last meeting and is ready to put the past behind them once and for all. Due to the dismissal of defender Leonardo Balerdi during the encounter against Bordeaux, Marseille is expected to suffer in the upcoming fixture.
Nice (4-4-2): Benitez, Bard, Dante, Todibo, Atal, Kluivert, Lemina, Rosario, Boudaoui, Gouiri, and Dolberg.
Suspended: None
Injured: Stengs, Trouillet, Guessand, Schneiderlin and Claude-Maurice.
Marseille (3-2-4-1): Mandanda, Saliba, Peres, Kamara, Gueye, Under, Guendouzi, Gerson, de La Fuente and Payet.
Suspended: Balerdi
Injured: Lopez and Milik.

Nice seems very much focused to improve this season whereas Marseille is not yet back in its form. Marseille facing Nice in the upcoming game may have weak defense because Leonardo Balerdi will be absent for the encounter. Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
