WEST BROM FAVOURITES AS TEAMS RETURN TO ACTION
West Brom will be looking to pick up from where they left off before the international break, as they prepare to return to league action this weekend. The Baggies have lived up to expectations in the early parts of this season following their relegation from the Premier League. Albion have recorded four successive victories and remain unbeaten after their opening five league games, leading the way alongside Fulham. Meanwhile, it’s been something of a slow start to the Championship season for Millwall. Gary Rowett’s side currently sit 17th in the table, with five points from their five league games so far. As a result, while a late first league win of the season at Blackpool in the final game before the September international break will have been a relief, it does seem as though there is still much to address at The Den at this moment in time.
WHO TO REPLACE DARA O’SHEA?
The international break proved problematic for Albion, with Dara O’Shea picking up an injury against Portugal and being sidelined for around four months. It’s an injury blow Ismael really could have done without. Not only has O’Shea been key for him so far this season, but Matt Clarke is also out injured too. Albion have bolstered their ranks in defence with the signing of Kean Bryan from Sheffield Utd, but he might not be up to speed yet.
Nonetheless, the thirteen points from their opening five matches have been achieved in some style though, with the Baggies excelling by playing Ismael’s high-intensity, high-energy brand of football. It’s a philosophy very unique to the former Bayern Munich man who is adamant that his players can press from the first whistle to the last. On the evidence so far, Ismaël’s men are widely expected to win promotion though, should they avoid any great setbacks.
MILLWALL LOOK TO MAKE UP FOR THE SLOW START
Millwall obviously lack a player who can score regularly, which would give the Lions a crucial element that they have been missing in recent seasons. Millwall did a lot of their business early, however, they are now at a stage where they need to attempt to strengthen in what is a key area of the field of play. Another creative player would help to take some of the strain of the likes of Jed Wallace in the final third and it would in theory give them yet another option that they don’t currently have at their disposal.
One thing Rowett will surely want to see his side start to do less when the action resumes is conceding the first goal in games. So far this season, Millwall have gone a goal down in five of their seven games in league and cup. If that is something that they continue to do, then the mountains they will give themselves to climb will surely leave them with too much to do in terms of picking up the results they need to compete for a top-six spot.

Albion have arguably one of the best attacking line-ups in the division, with Karlan Grant, Grady Diangana, and Matt Phillips starting against Peterborough last time out. On the other hand, in the middle of Jed Wallace transfer saga, Garry Rowett will look to keep things tight at the back and not to concede first at the Hawthorns, but we are not sure such a cautious approach could pay off against second-best attack in the league.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
