After securing a slim first-leg advantage, Ajax welcome Lille to the Johan Cruyff Arena for the rematch of their UEFA Europa League round of 32 games. Read our reasons for Ajax vs Lille prediction and betting tips.
The Dutch champions are on a ten-game winning run in all competitions, and, no doubt, they want to give fans yet another reason for celebration. Ajax has enjoyed an excellent league campaign so far and is well on their way to yet another Eredivisie title. The Dutch champions edged Sparta Rotterdam to a 4-2 victory in their previous game and will want to get the better of Lille on Thursday. Ajax scored two crucial away goals against Lille last week and holds a distinct upper hand going into this fixture. They came from behind and struck twice in the final three minutes through Dusan Tadic and Brian Brobbey. The Dutch champions have been irresistible at times this season and will want to make a statement to the rest of the competition this week. Ajax will be feeling even more confident returning to the Johan Cruyff Arena where they have won their last four matches. They are also known to score lots of goals on their turf, netting three or more goals in three of their last four home matches.
Haller and Onana will play no part in this fixture for Ajax, but Ryan Gravenberch is back from suspension and should fill his regular midfield role. Noussair Mazraoui is in major doubt and will have a late fitness test. Nicolas Tagliafico also missed out against Sparta through injury and is under question for the next match. Daley Blind will continue at left-back if Tagliafico does not make the squad, while David Neres and Davy Klaassen were both named on the bench for Sunday's win but should start from the first whistle.
Ajax: Stekelenburg; Rensch, Schuurs, Martinez, Blind; Alvarez, Gravenberch, Klaassen; Antony, Tadic, Neres
Lille has exceeded expectations in Ligue 1 this season and is engaged in a battle with Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon for the league title. The French outfit thrashed Lorient by a 4-1 margin over the weekend and has a mountain to climb this week. Lille will be disappointed not to have held out for the win in the first leg last Thursday as they looked to be headed for a victory before conceding twice late on. Lille has excellent players in their team and will have to play out of their best football to turn this fixture around. Ajax holds a slight edge at the moment and is likely to have an edge here, but Lille is more than capable to turn things around on a given night.
Burak Yilmaz remains the only absentee for Lille, who has Benjamin Andre and Xeka back from suspensions served in the first-leg defeat. With both players starting in the victory over the weekend, Renato Sanches and Boubakary Soumare will be hopeful of earning places in midfield. Reinildo appears to have cemented his spot at left-back over Bradaric, while Yazici and Weah are likely to return to the fold - the latter potentially in place of Luiz Araujo.
Lille: Maignan; Celik, Fonte, Botman, Reinildo; Weah, Andre, Sanches, Bamba; David, Yazici

Ajax tends to score lots of goals on their turf, netting three or more goals in three of their last four home matches. Christophe Galtier’s men looked more impressive on the road during the group stage of the Europa League and claimed two wins in their three away matches. Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
