Angers will host Bordeaux at Stade Raymond-Kopa on Sunday in a match of two teams that have trouble to found the net regularly.
Angers had a very successful match at Dijon on the first matchday of the season. Ismael Traore opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and no more goals that were enough for the victory that makes Angers more confident for the upcoming matches.
Coach Moulin looked like a very satisfied man after his team showed very compact defensive performance and he will certainly want something more of that against Bordeaux. Hard fought win was a great reason for the fans to celebrate season-opening but on the other side, it is more reasonable to believe that Angers what more from this momentum because things are never easy in the competitive Ligue 1. The experts at the house say that the home team of Raymond Kopa has a great victory when welcoming Bordeaux in the second round. Angers had only four losses in 15 matches in the home stadium in the last season and they are always very careful in front of their fans. They have a defensive approach and try to counter-attack rivals and it is right to say that Angers's good transition from defense to offense. The home team is not prone to big errors or many midfield mistakes so rivals have a tough task to found their net.
Angers signed one of the best goalkeepers in the country Bernardoni who was number one France choice in all youth categories, and now he is in the senior national team. In the first match, he didn't have much work and they will try do keep him unbusy this weekend. Angers were one of the teams with the worst attackers unable to score more than one goal per game so they obligation to found a way to defend against any rival to achieve points. Their coach Moulin will have some problems regarding finding the best starting lineup because Doumbia, Alioui, Nouri, and Manceau are sidelined. They are replaceable but their rotation is shortened.
Bordeaux had a tough first game of the season. Game vs Nantes was difficult from the start because their midfielder Zerkane was sent off in the 20th minute. Despite that Bordeaux looked like a better rival and had their opportunities but just couldn’t score. That gave them confidence for the next matches under new coach Jean-Louis Gasset who was hired at the start of the month and didn’t have much time to work with the squad after previous coach Paolo Sousa departed. That is Bordeaux's biggest problem in recent years because the club board is very keen to change and that is very difficult for players because they need time to adapt to different playing styles and football philosophies.
The problem for Bordeaux can be found also in their fatigue levels after playing with ten men for more than an hour so early in the new season. Their long rivalry vs Nantes and will to escape defeat in the first round made them double their effort on the pitch and they were rewarded with a point but probably will cause a slight disadvantage in the next game. Bordeaux midfielder Mehdi Zerkane, who was sent off, Aldi and Pablo Castro are out.

Very hard game to predict because both teams changed a lot through the transfer window. A draw is a good option because Bordeaux showed better character than in last season and Angers is more than tough to beat on home ground.
So my final Angers vs Bordeaux Prediction is Draw.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
