ARSENAL VS BURNLEY MATCH ANALYSIS
With four of their eleven league matches won, and six of them lost, they are sitting in the 15th place with 13 points, after their 2-0 defeat in the North London derby against the Spurs last weekend. They have now scored only two goals in their last seven league matches and have not had back-to-back wins since the first two fixtures of the season. As for the visitors, the Claret and Blues made a disappointingly slow start to the season, with the team collecting only 6 points from a possible 30. They are back in the relegation zone in 18th place after their home draw against Everton (1-1), albeit with a game in hand.
Mikel Arteta says that he is not worried about his position after his side slumped to their worst start to a season since 1981 with a defeat at home by Wolves and a defeat in the North London derby. The Gunners are sitting in the wrong half of the table and have been beaten in their past three matches at Emirates Stadium. Given the number of absentees in their team, the Gunners must take their chances against the struggling Burnley to end their rough patch of games.
As for the Tottenham match last weekend, Kane and Son Heung-min’s goals helped Tottenham overcome their arch-rivals and return to the top of the Premier League table. Arsenal dominated possession in the first half but it was Spurs who had the ruthless, clinical edge. Mikel Arteta's side, who lost Thomas Partey to injury right on half-time, showed a little more threat after the break but Spurs closed out the win with relative ease to return to the Premier League summit.
On the other hand, Sean Dyche has rightly been praised for his leadership there, with a modestly assembled Clarets squad - having provided a second top-10 finish in five Premier League seasons in 2019/2020. But an already thin squad is at its limits. Furthermore, they have been very unfortunate with injuries and they still have many important players missing. Dyche had done wonders with the Clarets' modest squad before, so let's not write them off already, especially after their first league win of the season on November 23.
As for their draw against the Toffees, the hosts made a lightning start, with Robbie Brady's strike giving them the lead in the third minute. Everton were vulnerable, but improved midway through the first half and got the equaliser just before the break through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Premier League's leading scorer this season. The draw here was not good enough for the hosts as they stay in the bottom three, a point behind 17th-placed Fulham.

Arsenal have won each of their last nine home meetings with Burnley in all competitions, and Burnley have the worse 100% losing record away at Arsenal than any other Premier League team.
The problems are mounting for the Gunners, as Aubameyang has been anonymous for most of the time since signing his new contract, while Willian looks a spent force. To make things worse, their latest highly-rated acquisition, Thomas Partey, is doubtful for the match.
Burnley remain in the relegation zone, but they have improved significantly since a wretched start to the season that saw them take one point from six matches. They have now lost just one in four, and there was no disgrace in an injury-hit team drawing to Everton.
