Arsenal host Fulham at the Emirates (London) in the 32nd round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 1.30 pm (UK) on Sunday, April 18. Read our reasons for Arsenal vs Fulham prediction and betting tips.
Arsenal stemmed a run of four games without a victory with an emphatic 3-0 triumph over relegation-haunted Sheffield Utd on Sunday evening. A brace from Gunners striker Alex Lacazette and Gabriel Martinelli’s first goal since January 2020 sealed a win that saw Mikel Areta’s side move into the top half of the table. As for Fulham, they had high hopes of avoiding the drop when winning at Liverpool last month but are now in big trouble after failing to pick up a point from their next four fixtures. The Cottagers suffered a heart-breaking defeat last time out when going down to a 92nd-minute Adama Traore goal in a 1-0 loss to Wolves on home turf.
The 2020/21 Premier League campaign arguably hasn’t gone as well as Mikel Arteta might have expected. At the end of last season, fresh from an FA Cup triumph at Wembley and an end to the campaign which saw the Gunners beat many of the top teams in the division, there was every reason to believe that Arsenal would go places this season. However, they’ve never really looked like doing so. Decent performances have often been followed by abject showings, and it’s the reason why Arteta’s side are still languishing in 9th place and some 10 points from West Ham in the final Champions League place.
However, on a freezing Sunday night in South Yorkshire, the gulf in class showed between Arsenal and the Premier League’s bottom side. Ahead of a big week for the Gunners with the crucial Europa League quarter-final clash with Slavia Prague on Thursday, Arteta was happy with the three points, which lifted the Gunners above Leeds and Aston Villa. However, delight at a first clean sheet in 15 games for Arsenal was tempered with fresh injury concerns after both Bukayo Saka and Martinelli limped off in the second half.
As for Fulham, the Cottagers could have overtaken Newcastle with victory over Wolves but were left devastated by Wolves' injury-time winner. Fulham needed a victory in their Friday night encounter with Wolves, but the hosts struggled to fashion any opportunities to take the lead and were punished by Traore's emphatic strike in the 91st minute. United could now go six points clear of Fulham with a victory at Burnley on Sunday while also boasting two games in hand.
If Scot Parkers’ side were to climb out of the relegation zone, with 6 games to go, the Cottagers have to ride each remaining fixture with the do-or-die attitude that saw them claw back a 10-point deficit in their darkest period of the campaign. There’s no ground-breaking formula, but losing the last four games the way they did can be wholly accredited to a declining state of belief and this can surely be remedied tactically. In order to gain the results, they desperately require to survive Scot Parker’s side need to stamp their authority whilst in command for once.

Moreover, Fulham have lost each of their last six top-flight meetings with Arsenal, conceding 18 goals and scoring just three in reply.
Arsenal are expected to nudge struggling Fulham another step closer to the relegation trap door at Emirates Stadium on Sunday and the BettingKick’s Arsenal vs Fulham prediction is: Arsenal win
