Watford
3 - 2
The game kicks off at 4pm (UK) when Arsenal host Watford on Sunday 26 July at the Emirates Stadium.
After back-to-back victories against champions Liverpool in the PL (2:1), and Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final (2:0), Arsenal have lost the plot against the struggling Aston Villa on Tuesday, which dashed their hopes of qualifying for the Europa League through the Premier League. They can only secure the Europa League group spot if they defeat Chelsea in the final of the FA Cup 1 August. The defeat at Villa Park (1:0) also means this will be their worst PL finish since 1995, when they finished 12th.
At the same time as Aston Villa beat Arsenal, Watford were ruthlessly demolished by Manchester City (0:4), and were thus sent to relegation zone, immediately after their surprising sacking of manager Nigel Pearson. That defeat, together with Aston Villa's win, means Watford's fight to stay up will go to the last day of the season, when they travel to London.
ARSENAL VS WATFORD MATCH ANALYSIS
Arsenal continue to blow hot and cold this season, after another shocking defeat. They will go into the final match of the season against Watford at least nine points from the top four. The Gunners have been a household name in the Champions League for twenty consecutive years under Arsene Wenger, but they have now last qualified for the CL in the 2016/2017 season.
Arsenal have lost four out of six away games after lockdown, and they have now lost ten or more games in a season for a third time in a row. One would think that after beating Manchester City on Saturday, they will come out blazing against Villa, but the exactly opposite happened, as they didn't register a single shot on target, which last happened in their match in January 2016.
On the other hand, all the good work the Hornets did after picking up back-to-back victories against Norwich and Newcastle was annulled by another two back-to-back games, against West Ham and City where they conceded five times in the first halves, and seven in total. They have now lost eight of their last twelve Premier League games.
They were outclassed by Manchester City, having only 23% possession and not having a single shot on target - too little for a team desperately fighting relegation. The fact that their goalkeeper Ben Foster had most successfully completed passes tells the whole story.

Mikel Arteta admitted that Arsenal's current position in the league is reality. Compared to other top clubs, they lack quality, and the difference in points with other teams is where they are right now. There was a banner flying before the Villa game calling out their owners and backing Arteta. The fans may be tired and sick of it all, but a total makeover and change of owners, is probably not what Arsenal need right now. At least, not until the FA Cup final.
Watford can serve as an example, that not sticking with the right men can be your downfall. They have changed three managers this campaign, with the latest one happening only two games before the season ends. Nigel Pearson certainly didn't deserve the sack, but it looks like the Hornets owners are already thinking about next season in the Championship.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
