Aston Villa host Leeds in the sixth round of the Premier League at Villa Park (Birmingham) on Friday, October 23 and the match kicks off at 8pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Aston Villa also got off to a fantastic start, having won all four games so far. They are in the 2nd place in the table with 12 points, albeit with a game in hand. More importantly, they have continued the unbeaten run from the back end of the last campaign (W7,D2) and capped it off with a nothing short of impressive win against ex-champions Leicester (0-1) on October 18.
Leeds’ first two league games both finished 4-3, having lost the first against Liverpool and getting the respective win against Fulham at home. They followed it with a tight 0-1 away victory against Sheffield Utd and right before the international break they deservedly took a big point against last season runner-ups Man City (1-1). Unfortunately, they recorded their first defeat of the season against Wolves at home (0-1) on Monday which is good for he 10th place in the league with 7 points.
MATCH ANALYSIS
As for Villa, the early signs are promising and they may prove the doubters wrong as their manager Dean Smith believes, and it's there for all to see, that his team are a better side this season. They have managed to keep most of the last year's stand-out players, namely Jack Grealish, forward Keinan Davis, England centre-back Tyrone Mings, while also signing Bertrand Traore from Lyon. At the start of a new campaign Villa have been more solid and aggressive defensively and their £28m record signing, forward Ollie Watkins has made an immediate impact up front. Dean Smith's side maintained their 100% start to the season by edging victory at Leicester by Barkley’s injury time strike. Villa have won their opening four top-flight games for the first time in 90 years and the manager admitted afterwards that the team is really working hard to be where they are.
As for Leeds, they are another pleasant surprise, although little less unexpected. Marcelo Bielsa’s side is looking to establish themselves back in the Premier League, after a 16-year absence from English football's top flight. Their pressing is relentless and the opponents have to work hard to respond to Leeds' intensity which only few teams will be able to match. Leeds have enjoyed an entertaining start to the season, having scored and conceded seven goals in their opening defeat to Liverpool (4-3) and a win over Fulham (4-3), but the Whites sorted out the defensive niggles and came away with a win and a clean sheet against the Blades (0-1) and most recently in the league Leeds came from behind in stirring fashion to secure a thoroughly deserved point as they played out a thrilling draw with Manchester City at Elland Road. Not only did they stand toe-to-toe with City but also dominated much of the second half and will try to repeat that fantastic performance at the weekend as well.

These two teams have been involved in six matches so far, all of them being in the second tier and the most frequent outcome were draws (D3), while Leeds have a solitary win to their name to Villa’s two victories.
If Aston Villa defeat Leeds next they will be the last side in England’s top four leagues to have a 100% record at the start of the 2020/21 season. There is no reason for them not to do it, but Leeds will be more cautious after their first defeat,
So, my prediction for this match will be: Under 2.5 goals

Wyatt grew up in the suburbs of London and he is a big Chelsea fan. As a young boy, he found his love for football, which became an obsession, but when he tried playing it he soon realized that he just wasn't talented enough. Bearing that in mind, Wyatt decided to learn everything there is to know about all the teams and players, with special focus on Premier League and Championship . Wyatt has a big affection for Championship and he is well versed in all the teams and knows their advantages and weak spots very well. He is an economist, and being one makes him good with numbers and also good with the odds. His specialty are BTTS matches.
