Sevilla will be looking to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they continue their 2020-21 campaign away to Athletic Bilbao on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions are no longer considered one of the teams to beat in La Liga, with the team sitting in the 16th position in the standings ahead of the visit of Sevilla. The Basque outfit suffered a 1-0 loss to Osasuna at the weekend, but it has to be noted that they failed to turn their dominance in the second half into goals. A record of two wins and four defeats from six matches this season has seen Athletic collect six points, leaving them in 16th position in the table, just one point outside of the relegation zone. Gaizka Garitano's side picked up an important win at home to Levante on October 18, but they have lost three of their last four in the league, including a 1-0 defeat at Osasuna last weekend. Worryingly, Athletic have not scored a single goal in their last three defeats, and it could well be a difficult campaign for the club, who finished 11th in Spain's top flight last season.
Los Sevillanos, on the other hand, suffered a shocking 1-0 loss to Eibar at home in their last league match, with the team dropping to 13th place in the standings. Considering that both Athletic Club and Sevilla are likely to go for a win in Saturday’s showdown, we believe that punters can find value in betting on both teams to score. A record of two wins, one draw and two defeats from five matches has left Sevilla in 13th spot in the table, although they do have two games in hand over a lot of the teams around them. The matches are coming thick and fast for Lopetegui's side at the moment as they are back in Champions League action at home to Krasnodar on November 4 before hosting Osasuna in the league on November 7.

Julen Lopetegui's side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Eibar in La Liga last weekend to leave themselves in the 13th spot in the table, while Athletic lost 1-0 at Osasuna as their inconsistent start continued. Athletic have so much talent, but the Basque outfit have struggled for form this season, and we are expecting Garitano's side to suffer another disappointing result here.
So, our Athletic Bilbao vs Sevilla Prediction is Sevilla to win.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
