Augsburg will try to stop Andre Silva, who could move onto double figures for goals when Eintracht Frankfurt visit the WWK Arena on Saturday.
Augsburg snapped a five-game winless cycle by beating promoted Arminia Bielefeld 1-0 on Wednesday. Defender Jeffrey Gouweleeuw was the unlikely match-winner for the lowest scorers of all nine teams currently stationed in the top half of the table. Their final-third struggles haven't been helped by Alfred Finnbogason's on-going physical troubles, while Florian Niederlechner - the club's 13-goal leading marksman last season - hasn't found the net in 12 league matches.
The latter returns from suspension for the visit of Frankfurt, but three-goal forward Andre Hahn remains a major doubt after missing the last three. Marco Richter was rewarded for rescuing Augsburg a point from the bench against rock-bottom Schalke with a midweek start and could continue in attack. Richter has scored four of his nine Bundesliga goals against Frankfurt.
Augsburg: Gikiewicz - Oxford, Gouweleeuw (c), Uduokhai - Caligiuri, Khedira, Strobl, Gruezo, Vargas - Gregoritsch, Niederlechner
Out: Bazee (knee), Jensen (ankle), Moravek (thigh)
Doubtful: Hahn (illness), Iago (muscular), Pedersen (muscular)
Coach: Heiko Herrlich
Frankfurt's season so far was on display in a game with Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday. Eintracht hit back from a goal down to lead 3-1, only for captain David Abraham's sending off for two bookable offenses to enable the Gladbach to salvage a dramatic point. It was a sad way for the defender's seven-year spell in the Bundesliga to end - he's suspended for the trip to Augsburg and will return to his native Argentina in January to spend time with his family.
Makoto Hasebe could be the man to benefit, if not long-term, at least on Matchday 13. Compatriot Daichi Kamada is also due a recall after dropping to the bench in favor of Napoli loanee Amin Younes last time out. Silva, who marked his return to the side with a brace, is chasing his 10th league goal of the season, while Frankfurt - despite sitting only two points outside the European places - are out to end a nine-match winless run. Five of Silva’s seven (71 percent) Bundesliga goals this season have come away from home.
Frankfurt: Trapp - Hasebe (c), Hinteregger, N'Dicka - Durm, Ilsanker, Rode, Kostic - Kamada - Dost, Silva
Doubtful: -
Out: Abraham (suspended), Ache (hamstring), Willems (knee)
Coach: Adi Hütter

Augsburg has won four of the last six games against Frankfurt, and have only lost one of their eight home games against the Eagles. Augsburg to surprise Eintracht could be a good value bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
