Bayern Munchen's Robert Lewandowski is in form of his life at the wrong time for Eintracht Frankfurt who will visit Allianz Arena on Saturday.
Even without goals of the best striker in the world at the moment, Bayern easily past Atletico Madrid in the first round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. That 4-0 win just confirmed that Bayern had no intention to put the foot off the gas, in the sprint to take over the league-leading position in the Bundesliga from RB Leipzig. Lewandowski shared four goals with Thomas Müller as Bayern showed promoted Arminia Bielefeld no mercy last weekend. The Poland international now has a Bundesliga-leading seven goals to his name just four games into the 2020/21 season, he scored eight in his last nine league appearances and some 27 in all competitions this calendar year - a best-mark among sharpshooters across Europe's top five leagues. Like last season, Lewandowski has seven goals after four rounds of matches. He's even hit six in the last two games alone. The 32-year-old has scored 12 times in 17 previous meetings with Frankfurt, including in both games the last term.
Even on those rare occasions, Lewandowski doesn't fire, Bayern has a habit of finding a way as Atletico Madrid discovered in midweek. Kingsley Coman scored two and assisted one in a statement 4-0 win that underlined why the 2019/20 treble winners are once again the team to beat this term. Leon Goretzka found the net from a starting No.10 position against Atletico but should revert to his customary role in the double pivot alongside Joshua Kimmich, who sat out the Bielefeld game to attend the birth of his second child. With Serge Gnabry unavailable due to coronavirus, Juventus loanee Douglas Costa is expected to start on the right-wing, with Müller moving back inside behind Lewandowski. Corentin Tolisso - also on target on in the Champions League - serves the first of a two-match domestic ban following his red card in Bielefeld.
Bayern: Neuer (c) - Pavard, Süle, Alaba, Hernandez - Kimmich, Goretzka - Costa, Müller, Coman - Lewandowski
Out: Gnabry (not included), Tolisso (suspended)
Doubtful: Nianzou (thigh), Sane (knee)
Coach: Hansi Flick
Having missed out on European football last season, Frankfurt travels to the Allianz Arena with fresh legs. They are one of four teams still unbeaten after four rounds of fixtures and could move top of the standings if results go their way. Andre Silva's great striking form has been key to their flying start, the Portugal international scoring his third goal of the campaign in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Koln, and 11th in 14 league matches since the restart of German top-flight football in May. Together with Bas Dost and Daichi Kamada, head coach Adi Hütter boasts an attacking trio capable of matching the Ante Rebic-Luka Jovic-Sebastian Haller forward line that took Frankfurt to the brink of a top-four finish in 2018/19. One of Silva, Dost, or Kamada has been involved in each of Frankfurt's seven Bundesliga goals this season. Frankfurt is on an eight-game unbeaten run in the league, dating back to the end of the 2019/20 campaign. Only Augsburg custodian Rafal Gikiewicz (18) has made more saves than Frankfurt goalkeeper Trapp this season (17).
The Austrian tactician also has Filip Kostic to come back the following injury, though the Bayern game is likely to come too soon for the influential winger. Steven Zuber has been a good replacement for his Serbian counterpart in recent games but could make way for Napoli-loanee Amin Younes in the Bavarian capital after his lively substitute showing against Koln.
Frankfurt: Trapp - Abraham (c), Hasebe, Hinteregger - Toure, Rode, Ilsanker, Younes - Kamada - Dost, Silva
Out: Ache (thigh)
Doubtful: Kostic (knee)
Coach: Adi Hütter

Bayern is a heavy favorite to win this game but we think that Frankfurt has the power to find a goal in this match. Both teams to score looks like a decent bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
