Robert Lewandowski is chasing records, and revenge, when Bayern Munich welcome Andrej Kramaric and Hoffenheim to the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
Lewandowski has lifted the Torjägerkanone as the Bundesliga's top scorer for four of the last five seasons and remains way out in front this time with his haul of 23 leaving him nine clear of nearest challengers Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt's Andre Silva. The prolific Pole scored the second of Bayern's four goals in their 4-0 victory at Schalke last Sunday, becoming the first player in Bundesliga history to score in eight consecutive away games. He joined Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among the only active players in world football to have scored 500 career goals and has Gerd Müller's 49-year-old single-season record of 40 Bundesliga strikes in his sights.
The win sent Bayern seven points clear at the top, with closest pursuers RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen dropping points to Mainz and Wolfsburg respectively. Alphonso Davies has been preferred to Lucas Hernandez at left-back since the turn of the year, while Niklas Süle has recently been repurposed as a full-back on the opposite flank. Apart from Frenchmen Corentin Tolisso and Tanguy Nianzou, coach Hansi Flick has no injury concerns.
Bayern: Neuer (c) - Süle, Boateng, Alaba, Davies - Kimmich, Goretzka - Gnabry, Müller, Coman - Lewandowski
Out: Nianzou (thigh), Tolisso (muscular)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Hansi Flick
Hoffenheim may be back in 11th with 20 fewer points than Bayern, but, like the champions, they are undefeated in their last three games, last Sunday's 3-0 win over Cologne their second such margin of victory in as many matches. Kramaric has scored four of the Sinheimers' six goals in that time, and also bagged a brace when they beat Bayern 4-1 in September's reverse fixture. TSG has rarely been at full-strength since, putting their recent resurgence into sharper focus.
On-loan Tottenham Hotspur left-sider Ryan Sessegnon made a tentative return to training this week alongside Robert Skov and Florian Grillitsch. They could feature, but center-back Kevin Vogt has injured his shoulder and is likely to join fellow defenders Benjamin Hübner and Ermin Bicakcic on the sidelines.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Adams, Nordtveit, Posch - Gacinovic, Samassekou, John - Rudy, Baumgartner - Bebou, Kramaric
Out: Akpoguma (hamstring), Bicakcic (knee), Geiger (hamstring), Hübner (ankle), Sessegnon (thigh), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: Grillitsch (abdominals), Skov (muscular), Vogt (shoulder)
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß

Bayern has only lost four of 43 Bundesliga matches under Flick: to Borussia Mönchengladbach (twice), Leverkusen, and Saturday's opponents Hoffenheim. It is time for revenge but also, both teams to score is a valuable betting option.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
