Bavarian giants will try to continue domination in Bundesliga when they host Bremen on Saturday.
It is all easy for Bayern when Robert Lewandowski is on fire. Polish striker equaled his own record of scoring 11 goals in the first seven games of a league season with his strike against former club Borussia Dortmund prior to the November international break. Lewandowski also had a couple of efforts ruled out for thin offside decisions as Bayern consolidated first place in the Bundesliga standings with an attractive 3-2 win. Of all players based in Europe's top five leagues per UEFA coefficient, nobody has scored more than his 38 competitive goals in 2020. Lewandowski has scored two more than the entire Bremen squad combined.
An injury to Joshua Kimmich can raise some concerns - the midfielder has undergone knee surgery and will not play again this year. Corentin Tolisso could be set for a run of games as a result, assuming the knock he picked with France this past week is, as reported, only temporary pain. Summer signing Tanguy Nianzou has resumed first-team training following injury, but left-back Alphonso Davies remains on the sidelines. Thomas Müller is the only member of Hansi Flick's projected starting line-up to have enjoyed a full period of rest during the latest round of international fixtures.
Flick will take charge of his 50th competitive game as Bayern coach. Since replacing Niko Kovac last November, Flick has overseen 45 wins, one draw, and just three defeats. Bayern has yet to lose in 24 league games with Lucas Hernandez on the field. They have also conceded fewer goals with him than without him since his debut in August 2019.
Bayern: Neuer (c) - Pavard, Süle, Alaba, Hernandez - Martinez, Goretzka - Gnabry, Müller, Sane - Lewandowski
Out: Davies (ankle), Kimmich (knee)
Doubtful: Nianzou (fitness), Tolisso (muscular), Zirkzee (not included)
Coach: Hansi Flick
Like Thomas Müller, Bremen striker Sargent should be fresh for the trip to the Allianz Arena. USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter's decision to field an experimental roster for friendlies with Wales and Panama afforded the 12-time US international some welcome free time following starts in all eight of Werder's competitive fixtures in 2020/21. He has two goals and one assist, with Bremen going unbeaten since the Matchday 1 defeat to Hertha Berlin. Sargent has scored seven and assisted five in 45 Bundesliga appearances to date. Florian Kohfeldt's side played out 1-1 draw in their last four.
Milot Rashica joined Sargent in the Werder attack against Koln for his first start of the new campaign following injury. He scored the opening goal in last season's corresponding fixture but has only found the net once in 20 league games since that humbling 6-1 loss. Leonardo Bittencourt, who rescued a point against former employers Koln, will provide the ammunition with a view to ending that drought in Munich. Still nursing the calf strain that kept him out of Bremen's previous two, the best five-goal top scorer Niclas Füllkrug can hope for a place on the bench.
This will be a Bundesliga-record 109th meeting between the sides. Bremen's last victory came back in September 2008 when Claudio Pizarro - now a Bayern ambassador - scored in a 5-2 win for die Grün-Weißen in Munich.
Bremen: Pavlenka - Veljkovic, Moisander (c), Friedl - Gebre Selassie, Eggestein, Mbom, Augustinsson - Bittencourt, Rashica - Sargent
Out: -
Doubtful: Füllkrug (calf), Selke (groin)
Coach: Florian Kohfeldt

Despite fatigue, Bayern is a big favorite to win the next game, but they are prone to concede with Bremen players very dangerous in the transition game. Both teams to score should be an interesting bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
