Belgium is one of the favorites to win EURO and they will try out their firepower on Greece on Thursday night. Read our Belgium vs Greece prediction and betting tips.
Belgium becomes of the strongest national teams in the world and after excellent performances in the World Cup, they are more than prepared to conquer Europe. They topped the EURO Qualifications group with a maximum record of ten wins in ten games and an awesome goal difference of 40 scored and 3 conceded goals in the process.
They also won their UEFA Nations League group with five wins in six outings (against Denmark, Iceland, and England). Belgium was good at the start of the new qualification campaign for the next World Cup hosted by Qatar and took seven out of nine possible points, scoring eight goals in the big win against Belarus in March.
The team led by Roberto Martinez has a chip on their shoulders to win in every game as one of the favorites for a title in the upcoming EURO and they will do their best to gain some momentum before the big tournament.
Belgium's most influential player Kevin De Bruyne suffered two facial fractures after leaving the field in tears during the Champions League final, and he will not be risked in these friendlies as Martinez aims to have him firing on all cylinders for the tournament.
The Red Devils boss has also ruled Axel Witsel (Achilles) out until the final group game at Euro 2020 at the earliest, so this part of preparations could be a big stage for the likes of Jeremy Doku and Leandro Trossard, especially as Martinez will also take caution over the fitness of injury-plagued attacker Eden Hazard. Serie A MVP Romelu Lukaku should lead the attack from the start.
Belgium Lineups (3-4-3)
Thibaut Courtois; Jason Denayer, Toby Alderweireld, Thomas Vermaelen; Thomas Meunier, Youri Tielemans, Hans Vanaken, Thorgan Hazard; Jeremy Doku, Romelu Lukaku, Leandro Trossard
Greece is without some big results for a long time and they failed to qualify for the Euros. Greece was held to a 1-1 draw at home against Georgia in a World Cup qualifier back in March and that result crush their hopes of something big in the campaign.
They took the lead in the second half after Otar Kakabadze put through his net but were quickly pegged back by the rivals. They travel to Brussels off the back of just one win from their last four matches across all competitions.
The team managed by John Van Schip has a poor away record with just three wins from their last 10 away matches. They tend to have big problems against the favorites, losing 2-0 to Italy while also suffering a 2-1 defeat in Austria. They will try to put some hope in tradition because 4 of 5 matches against Belgium finished with both teams scoring.
Some of Greece's most experienced professionals will not feature in June's friendlies, as the likes of Kostas Fortounis, Kostas Stafylidis, and Dimitris Siovas are not in the squad. Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos has been called up following an impressive loan season with Stuttgart, and he will hope to win just his second cap for the national team in Brussels. After spending some time in Croatia defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos will get his place in the starting lineup and with the good midfielder Petros Mantalos they are probably the two most known members of the 25-man squad with four goals apiece.
Greece Lineups (4-2-3-1)
Odysseas Vlachodimos; Michalis Bakakis, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Georgios Tzavellas, Dimitris Giannoulis; Zeca, Andreas Bouchalakis; Giorgos Masouras, Anastasios Bakasetas, Christos Tzolis; Vangelis Pavlidis

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
