Reigning champions Juventus continue with a trip to newly-promoted Benevento on Saturday at Stadio Ciro Vigorito.
Benevento has picked up nine points and sit 14th and bounced back from a run of four straight losses with a success at the Artemio Franchi against Fiorentina last weekend. Benevento ruined Cesare Prandelli’s return to the Fiorentina bench, as Riccardo Improta pounced on a defensive error. It had been over five years since Prandelli last walked into the Stadio Franchi as the Viola boss, so it represented an emotional moment for the coach who replaced Beppe Iachini. However, the points went to Benevento, who ended their run of four consecutive defeats.
Benevento coach Filippo Inzaghi has claimed he is ‘proud’ of his side’s win against Fiorentina: ‘Someone thinks we are relegated already. Before this match, no one gave us a chance and instead we performed extraordinarily. These players have played 46 games with me, I think they only got two wrong. We know that with organization and spirit we can also make up for technical differences,” the former Milan striker finished. Benevento has scored in both games against Juventus in Serie A, but have lost both games.
Benevento (4-3-2-1): Montipo; Letizia, Glik, Caldirola, Barba; Hetemaj, Schiattarella, Ionita; Insigne, Caprari; Moncini
Suspended: none
Injured: Tuia, Iago Falque, Dabo, Foulon
On a yellow card: Schiattarella
The Old Lady are unbeaten in Serie A and expect to continue their run against the Streghe this weekend, as Andrea Pirlo’s men come from a 2-1 win against Ferencvaros in the Champions League. The win secured a place in the knockout stages of the competition and the Bianconeri can focus on cutting the gap to League leaders Milan in Serie A until Christmas. Currently, four points behind the Rossoneri, Pirlo expects the transitional period to be over for his men but knows Filippo Inzaghi’s men can surprise at the Ciro Vigorito.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the show, netting both goals as Juventus saw off Cagliari 2-0, while Merih Demiral also hit the crossbar. CR7 took center-stage in his first game at the Allianz Juventus Stadium since the opening round of the season against Sampdoria. First, he cut inside to blast into the far bottom corner with his right foot, then he showed quick improvisational skills to hook in a corner that had been deflected behind him.
But Pirlo could have to cope without three key members in defense against Benevento, as Matthijs de Ligt seems to be the only recognized defender available at the moment. Leonardo Bonucci is the closest to return, but Danilo could feature in the heart of the defense again, whilst Paulo Dybala is expected to start on the bench, as he didn’t grab the opportunity against Ferencvaros.
Juventus (4-3-1-2): Szczesny; Cuadrado, De Ligt, Danilo, Alex Sandro; Bentancur, Arthur, Rabiot; Kulusevski; Morata, Ronaldo
Suspended: none
Injured: Bonucci, Chiellini, Demiral

Benevento is not an easy rival as the table suggests but Juventus have too many options to find the way to the net. Away win here must be the most reasonable bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
