Lazio lost two in a row at home, but their away form will be a big problem for Benevento who failed to score even with 10 men Sassuolo.
Sassuolo were reduced to 10 men after 49 minutes but held on to beat Benevento 1-0 after a Domenico Berardi penalty after only eight minutes. Domenico Berardi opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the eighth minute. A cross from Maxime Lopez struck the hand of Alessandro Tuia and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Berardi smashed it into the top corner and Sassuolo took an early advantage against the newly-promoted side. Lukas Haraslin was sent off after 49 minutes, as he caught Gaetano Letizia’s ankle with his studs in a very late challenge. Benevento created chances for the remainder of the second half and Gianluca Lapadula thought he had equalized at the death, but Andrea Consigli was there to save the day with a fabulous save.
Benevento will again be without the services of Nicolas Viola, Christian Maggio, and Luca Caldirola for Tuesday's contest, but the home side did not pick up any fresh injury concerns against Sassuolo. Roberto Insigne is pushing for a spot in the starting XI, having replaced Hetemaj during Saturday's clash, although Filippo Inzaghi could resist the temptation to make changes. Gianluca Lapadula and Gianluca Caprari have scored six Serie A goals between them this season, and the pair will continue in the final third of the field.
Benevento (4-4-2): Lorenzo Motipo; Federico Barba, Alessandro Tuia, Kamil Glik, Gaetano Letizia; Riccardo Improta, Artur Ionita, Perparim Hetemaj, Roberto Insigne; Gianluca Caprari, Gianluca Lapadula
After reaching the knockout stages of the UCL Lazio again lost at home in Serie A. It was a frantic encounter at the Stadio Olimpico, with Hellas Verona making the most of Lazio's mistakes. Federico Dimarco’s strike was probably going off target before Manuel Lazzari accidentally put it into his net while trying to clear. Felipe Caicedo equalized with a quality goal created out of nowhere, turning his marker to find the net with his back to goal. However, Stefan Radu’s suicidal back-pass was too tempting for Adrien Tameze to turn down. There was still late drama with Marco Silvestri making the saves to secure all three points for Verona.
Vedat Muriqi and Silvio Proto will again be unavailable for selection, while the visitors are also sweating on the fitness of Luis Alberto, Luiz Felipe, Patric, and Senad Lulic. Joaquin Correa is expected to return to the starting XI, having been named on the bench against Verona, while Wesley Hoedt could come in for Francesco Acerbi, who was replaced early on Saturday. Felipe Caicedo is likely to drop out of the team despite scoring against Verona, but the likes of Lucas Leiva, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Ciro Immobile will keep their spots in the side.
Lazio (3-5-2): Pepe Reina; Stefan Radu, Francisco Acerbi, Luiz Felipe; Mohamed Salim Fares, Luis Alberto, Danilo Cataldi, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Manuel Lazzari; Ciro Immobile, Joaquin Correa

Lazio has more quality but with the Inzaghi brothers on the bench, it is very tempting to predict the outcome. Both teams to score should be our favorable bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
