Benevento, who are without a win in the last four Serie A games hosts Sampdoria that won four away games out of ten so far this season.
Pippo Inzaghi ‘would’ve preferred to lose another way’ to Inter after gifting at least two of the four goals and revealed the referee 'told me he made a mistake.' It was the worst possible start for Le Streghe, as Riccardo Improta accidentally deflected a Christian Eriksen free-kick into his net after seven minutes. They held out until the second half, and had penalty appeals with Gianluca Lapadula, but capitulated to Lautaro Martinez and a Romelu Lukaku brace. “It was a tough game that started badly, but we had the chance to equalize with that move that might’ve been a penalty,” Inzaghi told media. "I don't know if it really would've changed much, but the referee told me he made a mistake. Conceding the second goal knocked the wind out of our sails.”
Benevento now has just one point from their last four Serie A games, conceding 14 goals in the process and scoring four. “These aren’t the games where we expect to pick up points and I’ve always said that we’ve done well so far, but absolutely nothing is decided yet. There are teams in the relegation fight like Torino and Fiorentina who have no business being there and we can only expect them to surge later in the season. We know staying in Serie A will be like a Scudetto for Benevento and we are a long way off achieving our aims.”
Benevento (4-3-2-1): Montipò; Depaoli, Glik, Caldirola, Barba; Viola, Schiattarella, Hetemaj; R Insigne, Caprari; Lapadula

Claudio Ranieri confessed Sampdoria ‘made it easy for Juventus’ with their errors at both ends of the pitch in a 2-0 defeat. Federico Chiesa and Aaron Ramsey both finished off sweeping counter-attack moves at Marassi. “We had wanted a different type of match, to be honest,” Ranieri told media. “We lost the ball too often, had a lot of problems with their no-look passes over the top, but for the most part, we made it easy for Juventus. In the second half, we did something more, but even then it was just two Quagliarella shots and little else. We were unable to do what we thought that we would do. Emil Audero didn’t have to make saves either, just when we lost the ball or with these no-look passes. I was more irritated with the lack of scoring opportunities we created.''
The Blucerchiati were coming off back-to-back victories before this defeat and points from the upcoming games could make difference between the European places or the drop zone. “We said all season the plan was to not be in the same situation we were last year. Right now, we are in a more comfortable position, but in doubt, we’re looking both ahead and behind our shoulders!” Ernesto Torregrossa could start his first game with the Blucerchiati ahead of Keita Balde. The former Brescia striker moved to the Marassi in the January transfer window and has one goal in three appearances.
Sampdoria (4-4-2): Audero; Bereszynski, Yoshida, Colley, Augello; Candreva, Ekdal, Thorsby, Damsgaard; Torregrossa, Quagliarella
Suspended: none
Injured: Gabbiadini

Sampdoria could become the first team against whom Benevento win three Serie A games. The Streghe lost their first-ever meeting with the Blucerchiati and won the following two. Both teams to score is a very reasonable betting option.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
