Watford
2 - 3
Watford go into this match after a 6-0 demolition of Bristol, a 1-0 win at Preston, and a tight 2-1 win against in-form Derby in their last three outings. A succession of hard-working displays from The Hornets have tightened the thing up at the back, while simultaneously finding their form in front of the goal. They sit in 3rd, at least until Wednesday night, having lost only once in their last nine league games (W6, D2). As for Blackburn, the Rovers are going through a slump at the moment, coming into this match on the back of four consecutive defeats. However, three of those came away from home, while all four were very narrow losses by a single goal margin. Blackburn have slipped to 12th in the standings as the result and will hope to end this dry spell.
Blackburn, a name that has been quite big in the English footballing scene for the past two decades, find themselves in the mid-table spot with 39 points from 30 games played – a not-so-great record considering their excellent start to the season. The Rovers might seem to be struggling at the moment with 4 wins in 14 Championship games, but have shown their defensive prowess in the last few rounds, having consistently held the games below 2.5 goals in most of them (9/12).
On Saturday, they fell to another defeat as the Rovers couldn't find a response at the weekend after Alex Mighten gave Nottingham Forest a first-half lead. After Adam Armstrong failed to convert the penalty for the Rovers, Forest were left largely untroubled for the rest of the match despite the visitors having more of the ball. Tony Mowbray, however, remained positive about their main man. He felt Armstrong had raised the levels after the last few games, but with just 4 goals in his last 15 fixtures, he has to get back to scoring ways if the Rovers are to stay in the play-off race.
Meanwhile, the Hornets are definitely looking to get back to top-flight immediately as the change of managers has definitely galvanized the squad after Vladimir Ivic was sacked in December, just four months into his reign. Since Xisco Munoz took charge, their record across all competitions is ‘W7, D2, L3’ under the Spaniard and are now flying after failing to score in their last three matches prior to their four-game unbeaten run (W3, D1).
That 6-0 victory over Bristol and a hard-fought win at Preston and against the Rams have lifted the mood at Vicarage Road, giving fans hope that their side can still challenge for the top two. Under Xisco the Hornets have now collected 23 points from his 11 league matches in charge, and maintaining that ratio may be enough to edge out the likes of Norwich, Brentford and Swansea come the end of the campaign.

Blackburn meet Watford having lost both of their last two league meetings with Watford and are looking to avoid a first league double at the hands of Watford since the 1981-82 season after losing the reverse fixture 3-1 at Vicarage Road in October.
Blackburn are struggling for form and if not getting back into winning ways, could end up in a relegation battle. They have lost four in a row, last time suffering five straight defeats back in 2012. On the other hand, Watford are in top form at present, winning each of their last three league games and two of the last four on the road.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
