Inter resume their season after the Sassuolo game was postponed due to a COVID outbreak as they visit on-form Bologna. Read our reasons for Bologna vs Inter prediction and betting tips.
Bologna won their last two games to climb up the table, but now they too are affected by Coronavirus, as goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski contracted it on international duty with Poland. Former Inter striker Rodrigo Palacio is also ruled out by a ban, so Musa Barrow continues to work on becoming a center-forward. Andreas Skov Olsen is one to watch, as he had an excellent couple of performances for Denmark. Sinisa Mihajlovic admitted Bologna was ‘dreadful’ in the first half with Crotone, but his half-time team talk transformed them for a 3-2 victory. The Rossoblu were 2-0 down at the break, but got it back on level terms with two goals in eight minutes, before the late Andreas Skov Olsen winner. “We were dreadful in the first half,” Mihajlovic told media, who at one point was so furious that he threw his cap on the ground.
“We changed the system in the second half, we put different players on, and I told the lads that if we managed to score a goal and not conceded another, we’d not only not lose this game, we could go on to win. I was proved right. “Just as awful as we were in the first half, we did brilliantly after the break. We even had three or four chances to win by a bigger margin. It is a concern that we have these ups and downs because it’s an issue of mentality. During the week I constantly told them about their attitude and what I expected to see here. Instead, there was no determination or sense of responsibility.”
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Da Costa; Tomiyasu, Danilo, Soumaoro, Dijks; Svanberg, Dominguez; Skov Olsen, Soriano, Sansone; Barrow
Suspended: Palacio
Injured: Santander, Skorupski, Faragò
The leaders were about to go into a difficult match with Sassuolo while missing several key players, but after that postponement and the break for international duty, they have Samir Handanovic and Stefan de Vrij available again. Danilo D’Ambrosio and Matias Vecino also tested positive and are racing against time to be declared fit. Antonio Conte has seen his side forced into self-isolation, a measure that saw the match against Sassuolo postponed. Juventus had the chance to claw back the gap but remarkably lost to lowly Benevento, causing much an explosive reaction amongst Serie A fans. Surely, Inter would have instead played this game against the Neroverdi as it now moves this into what they see as a crowded fixture list in April.
The Nerazzurri are the Serie A leaders with a six-point lead over city rivals Milan with 12 games to go. Several observers consider them the favorites to win the Serie A title this season. When looking at the Nerazzurri this season, one has to say they have come a long way. The partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez is an elite one. The resurrection of Christian Eriksen and Ivan Perisic is timely and there seem to be no words for Nicolo Barella's abilities. Back-line now looks ever more dependable and as the end of the season is in sight, they will need to count on them even more. The team is far from perfect, but results against Serie A's big teams have been impressive and this improvement is down to the team all buying into Conte's plan.
Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, Ranocchia, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Gagliardini, Perisic; Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez
Suspended: None
Injured: D’Ambrosio, Vidal, Vecino

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
