Bologna is without two key players as they host Roma who is without a win in the last three games in all competitions.
Bologna has announced two members of their first-team staff tested positive for COVID-19. During the latest coronavirus tests, the Rossoblu found two cases among the technical staff at the Renato Dall’Ara. Bologna will try to be much better in defense after they lost against Inter last weekend. Achraf Hakimi bagged his first brace in an Inter jersey, getting the 3-1 win with the help of Romelu Lukaku. The Morocco international had already scored one Serie A goal against Benevento but made a big impression on the Bologna defense with two goals showing off his pace and precision. Lukaku had already showcased his strength to shrug off two defenders and convert Ivan Perisic’s cross, while Lukasz Skorupski kept the scoreline down. Emanuel Vignato came off the bench to immediately get a consolation goal for Bologna at the back post.
Goalkeeper Lukas Skorupski picked up an injury in training this week and won’t be eligible to play at the Dall'Ara on Sunday. Riccardo Orsolini is also out of action for the Rossoblu who sit 10th in the Serie A table. They are five points below a European placement and six points above the relegation zone.
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Da Costa; De Silvestri, Tomiyasu, Danilo, Hickey; Dominguez, Schouten; Vignato, Soriano, Barrow; Palacio
Suspended: none
Injured: Skorupski, Orsolini, Santander
On a yellow card: Danilo
Roma is without a win in the last two Serie A games and lost to CSKA Sofia in Europa League on Thursday. Tommaso Milanese scored his first goal in the Roma jersey, but a team packed with youngsters lost 3-1 at CSKA Sofia thanks to Amadou Diawara and Federico Fazio howlers. This last defeat had no consequences as the Giallorossi had already qualified for the last 32 stages of the Europa League.
Against Sassuolo, it was an eventful draw at the Olimpico, with a red card, two disallowed goals, and numerous chances. Pedro Rodriguez was dismissed for two bookable offenses before half-time, leaving the Giallorossi down to 10 men. Despite that, both teams had goals disallowed, as Edin Dzeko had a foul in the build-up and Lukas Haraslin was offside. Dzeko also hit the woodwork and Pedro Obiang risked a second yellow card on Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Paulo Fonseca has four players out of action because of injuries. Only one draw between Roma and Bologna in their last eight meetings. Roma has won five of them, Bologna two.
Roma (3-4-2-1):Pau Lopez; Ibanez, Smalling, Kumbulla, Karsdorp, Villar, Veretout, Spinazzola; Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan; Dzeko
Suspended: Pedro
Injured: Zaniolo, Mancini, Santon, Pastore

Roma looked better and they achieved only wins without team captain and main goalscorer Edin Džeko. Paolo Fonseca now has a tough task to balance the squad that heavily relied on him, but Bologna is a hard rival to experiment with anything at this stage of the season. Both teams to score looks like a reasonable bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
