Bournemouth's Sky Bet Championship game against Norwich will now take place at The Vitality Stadium on Sunday, September 27 and the kick-off is at 4pm (UK). The fixture was to take place on Friday prior but has been postponed due to Bournemouth's involvement in the third round of the Carabao Cup against Manchester City.
MATCH PREVIEW
If there was any uncertainty surrounding the Cherries at the start of the new campaign, which made it very difficult to predict how their season will pan out, it seems like it is gone now as Bournemouth have started the season with a little unbeaten run of three games. In any case, it's too early to get carried away, but in any scenario they should at least contest for one of the play-off spots.
Norwich, another Premier League drop-outs, have opened their campaign with a win in their Championship opener and a draw last Sunday. It is a long campaign, but the club is settled and Daniel Farke has really stamped his authority at this club, so without doubt, everything else but a return to the Premier League will be considered a disappointment.
MATCH ANALYSIS
The Cherries ended their five-year stay in the Premier League last season when they got relegated on the last day of the campaign and shortly afterwards parted ways with Eddie Howe, whose Bournemouth career spanned over 23 years. Jason Tindall replaced him at the helm and it definitely is a beginning of the new era for the club as they make a fresh start. So far, things are moving in the right direction, and against Middlesboro they were denied a second win in two games only by a late Boro equalizer. They are now on level points with Norwich and will feel disappointed to have thrown the three points away.
As for the Canaries, with a core of
the side that won the automatic promotion two seasons ago still intact, along
with some new signings like striker Jordan Hugill, Spanish defender Xavi
Quintilla and Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp, they should be able to fight
for the title again.Norwich may feel aggrieved after they drew at home against
Preston, but the manager took positives from the late equalizer by midfielder Placheta,
their new addition from Slask Wroclaw. Farke will know how late goals and this
mental attitude after a difficult finish of the season is remarkable, so
they will go for all three points on Sunday.

As for the stats and facts, in their last nine games, norwich have an upper hand with 4 wins to Bournemouth's 2, while 3 games ended draws. Norwich won the last match in January (1-0) and the Cherries are without a goal in the last two premier League games against the Canaries.
As hosts, Bournemouth have kept only 3 clean sheets in their last 20 games, while Norwich also struggle on the road as they failed to score a single goal in 13 of their last 20 games.
Having failed to protect their net on so many occasions means that Bournemouth's home games have seen 60% of their home matches ending with both teams scoring, and because of Norwich's poor away record, their games finished with both teams scoring in 20% of those matches.
Bournemouth's last 20 home games have averaged 2.9 goals per match, while Norwich's away games produced 2.3 goals.
Finally, both teams are better attacking-wise than defensively, so my prediction is both teams to score.
