Bournemouth host QPR in the 5th round of the Championship at the Vitality Stadium (Bournemouth) on Saturday, October 17 and the match kicks off at 3pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
After four weeks in the Championship, Bournemouth are still without a defeat and are 3rd in the table with 10 points after picking up wins against Blackburn (3-2) on the opening day, Norwich in the third round (1-0) and most recently against Coventry (1-3). The only place they lost maximum points was in Middlesbrough where they shared a point with the hosts in a 1-1 draw. QPR are sitting in the 9th place with 5 points, with their only win of the campaign so far against Nottingham Forest on their home debut. They followed it with a defeat to Coventry (3-2) and their last two matches finished with 1-1 draws against Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wed.
MATCH ANALYSIS
The Cherries moved to the top of the Championship, albeit temporarily at least, with victory over 10-man Coventry City most recently in a feisty encounter at St Andrews. This was a largely comfortable display from the Cherries. It was a good all-round performance as Jason Tindall's side got off to a good start and pressed very well for the majority of the game, creating a number of chances in the process. Meanwhile, they have signed Atletico Madrid winger Rodrigo Riquelme on a season-long loan, who became Jason Tindall's first signing, almost eight weeks after the former Cherries assistant took over from Eddie Howe.
If there was any uncertainty surrounding the Cherries at the start of the new campaign, which made it very difficult to predict how their season will pan out, it seems like it is gone now as Bournemouth have started the season with a little unbeaten run of four games. In any case, it's too early to get carried away, but in any scenario they should at least contest for one of the play-off spots.
As for QPR, they made a perfect start to their new campaign with a well-deserved victory against Notts Forest. Dykes, their six-figure summer signing, really impressed on his debut and has started repaying some of that fee with his performances and 2 goals so far. After losing their star player Eberechi Eze, it's good to know the Hoops have another option up front.
Furthermore, the newly signed Charlton Athletic striker Macauley Bonne scored deep into stoppage time on his QPR debut against Sheffield Wed to rescue a point , while winger Albert Adomah from Notts Forest and Benfica forward Chris Willock will further boost their attacking options. They have a tough visit to Bournemouth next, but with new options up front Mark Warbutron will hope to end their little winless run.

This two teams haven't met since season 2013/2014 in the league when both teams won their home matches. Since then they have only played one club friendly in 2017 which was won by Bournemouth. That's not much for the stats and facts, but heading into this game the Cherries will look to continue their unbeaten run, while QPR, after shipping 76 goals last season, must address their defensive issues after sorting out the attack.
Bournemouth have not been beaten in 6 of their 7 most recent matches in all competitions, while QPR have won just 2 of their last 16 away matches in all comps.
My prediction is: Bournemouth win

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
