Bournemouth host Reading at the Vitality Stadium (Bournemouth) in the 12the round of the Championship on Saturday, November 21 and the match kicks off at 12.30 pm (UK).
BOURNEMOUTH VS READING MATCH ANALYSIS
Bournemouth, were unbeaten in the league (W5-D5-L2) until round 10 when they lost to Sheffield Wed, the last team in the table (1-0). However, they bounced back against Birmingham (1-3) before the international break, and are now sitting in 4th with 20 points ahead of Saturday’s clash against the leaders Reading. As for the visitors, The Royals were the only Championship side without a defeat in the league alongside Bournemouth until the 9th round (W7-D1), but then they suffered three defeats on the trot against Coventry (3-2) Preston at home (0-3) and lastly against Stoke, also at home (0-3). However, they remained top of the league with 22 points ahead of this weekend.
If there was any uncertainty surrounding the Cherries at the start of the new campaign, which made it very difficult to predict how their season will pan out, it seems like it has gone now as Bournemouth have started the season with a six-matches unbeaten run (W3-D3). In any case, it's too early to get carried away, but in any scenario they should at least contest for one of the play-off spots. They will look for their second back-to-back victory of the campaign against the faltering Reading.
Two weeks ago the Cherries got only their second win in seven games as David Brooks' double helped Bournemouth move up to 4th after a comfortable win at Birmingham. Bournemouth were good value for their victory and could have had more than their three goals - the first time they have scored that many in more than a month. Most importantly, they can now put behind the disappointing Sheffield Wed result and push for another win against Reading.
The Royals on the other hand, are top of the league, with a single point lead after 11 weeks, even though they have lost three consecutive matches. Could it be that Royals have finally found the elusive X-factor from the previous seasons only to lose it irrepairably in tle sat few weeks? Their identity is still forging, but it looked like they have a game plan to stick to until recently. After conceding only twice in the first seven matches, they have shipped eleven in their last four.
They suffered a third straight defeat as Stoke City capitalised on defensive errors at the Madejski Stadium. The Royals dominated possession but were two goals down at half-time and did not have the creativity to mount a comeback in the second half. At one point they had a seven-point lead at the top of the table, but Veljko Paunovic's men have seen their advantage cut to just one point after suffering their third defeat in as many matches.

The Cherries made amends for a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wed, with the promotion-hopefuls beating Birmingham on the road before the international break. Bournemouth are eager to secure an immediate return to top division, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to finish the campaign in top two.
The Royals, on the other hand, started the season brilliantly, but, as expected, they then suffered a dip in performances. Reading are on a three-game losing run in the Championship, and are experiencing all sorts of problems at the back, as was evident in their 3-0 loss to Stoke City.
BettingKick’s prediction for Bournemouth vs Reading match is: Over 2.5 goals
