BRENTFORD VS BLACKBURN MATCH ANALYSIS
Brentford secured a 0-2 win over Rotherham on the road in midweek to edge ever closer to the play-off places. They are now eight games unbeaten (W4-D4) and look to have finally turned a corner from their early-season lull. After three consecutive draws, they have won three games on the trot, which pushed them up the table to 6th place with 26 points. As for Blackburn, they are in the 9th place in the table after 15 rounds in the league, having picked up 24 points after their latest home win (2-1) against Millwall in midweek. They have been blowing hot and cold at the start of the season (W7-D3-L5), but are one the more entertaining sides to watch. They are now unbeaten in the last six matches (W4-D2) and the Bees will be in trouble if the Rovers are in the scoring mood again.
Brentford could be forgiven for suffering a bit of a hangover after losing the play-off final last season. They showed they knew how to control games and were brilliant when it came to creating chances and being in control, but they need a few good results on the trot in the league to get this campaign really going. They lost key players in the summer, but they have replaced them well and as a matter of fact, are better off with points at this stage than they were last term (W7, D5, L3).
As for their midweek match, they climbed into the Championship play-off places with a routine win against the 10-man Rotherham. Marcus Forss gave the Bees the lead and top scorer Toney wrapped up the points from the penalty spot after Mikel Miller had been sent off for bringing down Sergi Canos. The Millers rarely troubled the Bees defense as Thomas Frank's men registered a third straight victory, which puts them just one point behind second-placed Bournemouth.
Blackburn, on the other hand, have been in a free-scoring form so far and apart from Tyrhys Dolan, a young prospect from their famed academy, they now have another teenage prodigy in Harvey Elliot, who was signed from Liverpool on a season loan and scored his second goal of the season against the Lions on Wednesday. After two 2-1 wins at home, Blackburn will be looking for the fourth win on the road as they continue to climb in the standings.
Against Millwall in midweek, Armstrong's deflected stoppage-time goal saw Rovers beat Millwall and record their fourth win in five Championship games. Harvey Elliott superbly curled in his first Ewood Park goal to give Rovers the lead and Armstrong scored his 14th goal of the season for the win. Blackburn stay in ninth place in the Championship, two points off the play-off places, and more importantly, Tony Mowbray can now count on Holtby and Daniel Ayala, who were both in the starting line-up against Millwall.

Brentford have lost five of their last seven league matches against Blackburn (W1 D1), but Thomas Frank will have no fresh problems with injuries and will field the strongest eleven, apart from their three long-term absentees. The Bees are on the longest current unbeaten run in the division (W4-D4) and have shipped only three goals in that time. The hosts are in the top six for the first time this season and the drive to push further is what could ultimately ensure they earn a result.
Blackburn will try to push for one of the play-off spots this season, and will surely set up to attack in Saturday’s football match. The Rovers are looking to win consecutive away league games for the first time since April 2019, and Armstrong, who has scored 14 times for Rovers, will be their main go-to-guy for goals as he has been directly involved in four goals in five league starts against Brentford (3 goals, 1 assist).

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
