BRENTFORD VS QPR MATCH ANALYSIS
Brentford secured a 1-0 win over Barnsley in midweek to edge ever closer to the play-off places. They are now six games unbeaten (W2-D4)and look to have finally turned a corner from their early-season lull. This wins comes after three consecutive draws, two of which were back-to-back goalless draws against Boro and Wycombe, and was enough to push them up the table to 8th place with 20 points. As for QPR, the Hoops also won their last league match, defeating Rotherham 3-2 on home turf. Their fourth win of the campaign saw them rise to 13th in the standings, and they are now healthy seven points from the relegation zone. The Hoops could move into the top half of the table with a good result in London, but the Bees will have the last word about it.
Brentford could be forgiven for suffering a bit of a hangover after losing the play-off final last season. They showed they knew how to control games and were brilliant when it came to creating chances and being in control, but they need a few good results on the trot in the league to get this campaign really going. They lost key players in the summer, but they have replaced them well and as a matter of fact, are better off with points at this stage than they were last term (W5, D5, L3).
Against Barnsley, Ivan Toney netted his 11th goal of the campaign to sink the in-form hosts. It was a first win in four for the Bees, last season's beaten play-off finalists, who had drawn four of their previous five games. They also claimed their third consecutive clean sheet, and even though there were few chances in the match, Thomas Frank will be glad about the performance and the result in the tough away fixture. They will look for a back-to-back win against QPR as they could jump into the playoffs place for the first time this season, should they win.
When it comes to QPR, If there's one thing that QPR provided last season, it was entertainment. The west Londoners scored 67 goals in last season's Championship campaign - a figure beaten only by Leeds, West Brom, Brentford, and Cardiff. However, 40 of these goals came from Eberechi Eze, Jordan Hugill, and Nahki Wells, all of whom now play their football elsewhere. They are still fun to watch, but this campaign has proven so far that they will struggle without those three.
However, against Rotherham in midweek, Mark Warburton’s men secured their first win in three after beating the Millers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Another positive from the match for QPR is that Osayi-Samuel is back in the side for good with his brace and an assist against Rotheram, despite being estranged for a little while following a breakdown in contract talks. An in-form QPR forward line may pose problems for the Bees on Saturday.

Brentford have lost just one of their last nine meetings with Queens Park Rangers in all competitions, winning seven times and winning the last three head-to-head matches. Thomas Frank will have no fresh problems with injuries and will field the strongest eleven, apart from their three long-term absentees. The hosts are extremely eager to push into the top six for the first time this season and that drive is what could ultimately ensure they earn a result.
Curiously for the visitors, they have lost 18 of their last 19 matches played on Friday in all competitions, winning only versus Aston in October 2018. They have also shipped two or more goals in each of their last nine clashes against Brentford. Bright Osayi-Samuel is expected to make the starting eleven on Friday alongside the in-form Ilias Chair who was also on target against Rotherham in midweek.
BettingKick’s prediction for Brentford vs QPR match is: Over 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
