Brighton host Leeds at The Amex Stadium (Brighton) in the 34th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 3 pm (UK) on Saturday, May 1. Read our reasons for Brighton vs Leeds prediction and betting tips.
Brighton remain seven points clear of the drop despite a 1-0 defeat to relegated Sheffield Utd last time out, and now require nine points from their final five games to guarantee another season in the Premier League, irrespective of other results. Having beaten Leeds 1-0 in January, Graham Potter’s side will strive to snap a run of four games without a win, the last three of which saw them fail to score. Meanwhile, Leeds come into this one with their eyes firmly on a top-half finish. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have put together their longest unbeaten run of the campaign, extending their tally to six (W3, D3) after a scoreless draw with Man United.
Brighton battled hard for goalless draws against Everton and Chelsea, but going down 1-0 away to already-relegated Sheffield Uts was a big blow. The Seagulls still have the luxury of a seven-point buffer over Fulham but a daunting run-in will be enough to keep them looking over their shoulders. Following this contest, Albion close with games against Wolves, West Ham, Man City, and Arsenal. Brighton are invariably able to produce some nice football, but the lack of a cutting edge is proving costly.
Just two home victories all season is another obvious cause for concern. Actually better on the road than at home, Brighton have scored an average of just a goal-a-match here. Nonetheless, just two league losses over the last such eight at home (W2, D4) - aided by five clean sheets - means they could well extend their four-match winning streak here versus Leeds, despite their propensity for home draws of which the Seagulls have already got eight.
As for Leeds, they are currently in their longest unbeaten PL run since December 2003, having won three and drawn three of their last six matches. The Whites have now achieved their number one priority for the season and the financial rewards that will go with it. Bielsa's side’s current good form, which has seen them claim five points against the defending champions, champions-elect and the runners-up in their past three matches means the Whites can take their foot off the pedal between now and the end of the campaign.
Leeds have tightened up at the back since becoming more used to the demands of top-flight football and are currently on a cracking run. Sunday’s goalless stalemate with Manchester United may have lacked entertainment, but that was another solid display. For the game not to become unbalanced, the team made a massive effort. Leeds have featured in 16 road games this term, posting eight wins and the same number of defeats, with zero draws and seven of those matches have been settled by just a one-goal margin.

Brighton meet Leeds having previously won seven of their last eight league games against the Whites, with the exception being a 2-0 loss at Elland Road in March 2017. Furthermore, Leeds have lost each of their last four away league games against Brighton by an aggregate score of 9-0 – they’ve never lost five consecutive away games without scoring against an opponent in their league history.
Brighton are making hard work of securing their Premier League safety and Leeds can put a bit more pressure on by prevailing at Amex Stadium. The Whites have faced some tough fixtures during a six-match unbeaten run and now get the chance to chase a ninth away win of the season on the south coast.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
