BRIGHTON VS SHEFFIELD UTD MATCH ANALYSIS
Brighton come into this game on the back of a 0-0 draw against Fulham on Wednesday at Craven Cottage. The share of points with fellow strugglers means that they remain in the 16th place with 11 points, two points from their midweek’s hosts in the relegation zone. On Sunday, they welcome bottom-fodders Sheffield, who are still without a win after 13 weeks in the Premier League and remain rooted to the bottom with a solitary point after a 2-3 defeat to Man Utd at the Bramall Lane.
Brighton were always going to struggle this season. Apart from Maupay, their new young full-back Lamptey and centre-back Ben White, who have been stand-out performers so far, there are not too many positives for Graham Potter. With a draw in London, the Seagulls made amends for back-to-back defeats to Southampton (1-2) and Leicester (3-0). Brighton failed to find the net in the previous two league fixtures, but they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways.
As for their goalless draw in midweek, Both sides had chances to take all three points in a much livelier second half, but neither side could force a winner. The Seagulls mustered four shots on target but were unable to find the net despite the decent efforts of Danny Welbeck, Ademola Lookman, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Romanian striker Florin Andone is out with an injury, but key attacker Neal Maupay was rested against Fulham, and the Frenchman is expected to lead the line for the Seagulls at AMEX against Sheffield Utd.
The Blades, on the other hand, have had a really nightmarish start. Moreover, they have won fewer points (1) after their first 13 games of a league season than any other team in English top-flight history. In comparison, they picked up seventeen points from their opening thirteen games last season. Of course, it will be impossible to repeat the last year's campaign and more realistically, the number one objective for 2020/21 will be to ensure they stay up, which will be more complicated after their latest defeat at the hands of Man Utd.
On Wednesday, Goalkeeper Dean Henderson, playing against his former club, gifted the Blades an opener. Rashford equalised after 26 minutes and Anthony Martial ended his goal drought to give the visitors the lead, which was doubled nine minutes after the interval with Rashford’s second goal on the night. McGoldrick headed home with three minutes left to give United a scare, but the Red Devils held on.

In the three previous encounters between the two sides, the Blades hold the advantage (W2, D1) The two clubs last faced each other in February this year, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw and won this exact fixture 1-0 last season.
Brighton are winless in their last 10 Premier League home games (D4 L6) since beating Arsenal 2-1 in June, which is their second-worst winless run at home in top-flight, while the Blades are without a win in their last 12 Premier League away games (D2 L10), losing each of the last eight in a row.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
