Brighton host West Brom at the Amex Stadium (Brighton) in the 6th round of the Premier League on Monday, October 26 and the match kicks off at 5.30pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
After losing on the opening day against Chelsea, Brighton bounced back with an away victory at Newcastle (0-3) in 2nd round of the PL. However, they lost their next two league matches - against Manchester Utd in controversial fashion (2-3) and against Everton (4-2). After the international break they shared points with Crystal Palace in London (1-1) which put them in the 16th place with 4 points ahead of their match with West Brom.
As for West Brom, they suffered a home defeat to Leicester (0-3) on their Premier League return, then followed it with a 5-2 defeat to Everton. They picked up their first PL point in a home draw against Chelsea (3-3), which saw them become the first team since themselves in 2010/2011 not to win despite leading 3-0 at half-time. After another defeat to Southampton (2-0) they drew against Burnley at home (0-0) which places them in 17th in the table with 2 points, one place below their Monday’s opponents.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Brighton cruised to a comfortable Premier League victory over an under par Newcastle at St James' Park on match-day 2, which was a superb all-round showing from the Seagulls and the perfect response to losing their opening game to Chelsea. Apart from Maupay who has scored four goals in his last three Premier League appearances, their new young full-back Lamptey and Ben White, have been stand-out performers so far. Unfortunately, two consecutive defeats and a draw with Crystal Palace mean that Brighton have picked-up just 4 points from first five games.Against the Eagles Brighton had more possession (65%), made more passes (539) and had more shots (20) at goal than their opponents, so will have mixed emotions after the game - delighted at salvaging a draw but aggrieved at not having scored more.
After two defeats the Baggies improved their performance significantly against Chelsea in the 3rd round, only to be back to square one with a defeat to Newcastle. They have shipped 14 goals in first 5 games and they will have to improve defensively if they are to avoid immediate return to the Championship. On a more positive note West Brom kept their first clean sheet of the season in a goalless draw with struggling Burnley. West Brom boss Slaven Bilic made six changes to his side and gave a debut to new striker Grant, who joined from Huddersfield for £15m last week. The Baggies defended well, particularly in the first half, but while their performance showed plenty of promise, it was an opportunity missed before facing two other teams in the bottom five - Brighton and Fulham - in their next two away games.

The Seagulls finished 15th last season, seven points clear of the relegation zone, and they may be looking over their shoulders again if finishing and results do not improve.
Brighton will have to make do without captain Dunk for the next games after he received a straight red card for a horrible challenge on Cahill.
Graham Potter's side play attractive football, their passing is neat and crisp but attacks fall apart too often in the final third or they fail to work the goalkeeper.
West Brom have failed to win one of their first five league games for the first time since 2004-05.
In their last 11 home games in Premier League, Brighton have a poor record of just 1 win a West Bromwich have won only 1 of their last 11 matches in all competitions.
Prediction for this match is: Under 2.5 goals
