BRISTOL VS HUDDERSFIELD MATCH ANALYSIS
Bristol welcomes the Terriers in 9th place with 36 points so far. The hosts are going through a slump lately, after recording only 2 wins in the last 7 league games (L5), coming into this match on the back of a 2-0 defeat at leaders Norwich in the league and a 3-0 win in the FA Cup Round 4 against Millwall at the Den. They will be decimated through injuries but can take encouragement from their decent home record recently. As for Huddersfield, they are in 14th place with 31 points. Since the beginning of 2021, they have suffered all four defeats in all competitions, having not managed to find the back of a net in the last two games against Watford (2-0) and Millwall (0-1) prior o this match.
The Robins’ 'streaky' trait has shown its face again as they have been switching between winning and losing in their last 13 games in all competitions (W6, L7), without a single draw in that span. They are continuing to blow hot and cold and have fallen out of the play-off picture after their fifth loss in the last seven games (W2). They are six points from the top-six and a win here can get them back on track for play-offs.
The Canaries’ win was as comfortable as they come, with Bristol failing to register an effort on target on the night. All that Bristol manager Dean Holden could admit afterward was that his team had been second best all evening. However, they eased past toothless Lions next to progress to the 1/16-finals of the FA Cup, for only the second time in 20 years, with a win at Millwall. Three goals and a clean sheet from that game is excellent the Robins will be hoping for more of the same on Tuesday.
Huddersfield, on the other hand, look like they have accommodated to the new manager's ways after a disappointing start to the season. The club put their trust in Carlos Corberan, but it will take some time for the players to get familiar with what is asked of them. They are going through their first crisis under Corberan’s tenure and need a win badly to catch up with the right half of the table.
Their latest defeat saw them lose to Millwall at the Ashton Gate as the Lions held onto an early lead to register just their second win in 16 league matches. The hosts won a penalty soon after when Lewis O'Brien was fouled in the area, but Frazier Campbell hit the bar from the spot. With the result, Huddersfield remain in 14th after their fifth defeat at home this season and fourth successive loss in all comps.
The Lions started brightly as Malone's early strike against his former club from inside the box put them ahead and they did enough to hold Carlos Corberan's side at bay, even though the hosts won a penalty soon after, but Frazier Campbell hit the bar from the spot. They travel to Bristol next hoping for their first win in the new calendar year at the expense of the injury-hit hosts.

Looking at the standings and Tuesday’s opponents' recent form, Bristol should be in pole position to win this match regardless of their injury woes. The history is also on their side as they have been a better side on 9 occasions to Huddersfield’s 7 in their last 20 meetings.
Bristol have won 4 of their last 5 head-to-heads, including the reverse fixture in November (2-1). There have also been over 2.5 goals in 4 of those 5 games, and both teams were on a score-board three times.
We expect another open game, so BettingKick’s Bristol vs Huddersfield prediction is; Over 2.5 goals.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
