Bristol host Luton at the Ashton Gate Stadium (Bristol) in the 44th round of the Championship and the match kicks off at 1 pm (UK) on Sunday, April 25. Read are reason for Bristol vs Luton prediction and betting tips.
16th placed Bristol City take on 12th in the table Luton Town at Ashton Gate in what is a dead rubber clash, as neither teams is worrying either end of the table. Nigel Pearson’s side haven’t won in their last seven games since beating Birmingham City at St Andrew’s 3-0 on 13th March. Meanwhile, Luton have picked up seven points from their last three matches, having beaten Wycombe Wanderers and Watford 3-1 and 1-0 before drawing 0-0 at home to Reading on Wednesday night.
Bristol’s penultimate home game of the season sees Nigel Pearson’s men take on Luton in BS3. Bristol are winless in eight home league games (D1, L7), scoring just one goal – their longest such run without winning since November 2013 in League One (11). Nevertheless, they aim remains to end the season as positively as possible with this being the first of the final three games of the campaign. However, they head back to Ashton Gate with disappointment after suffering late heartbreak in midweek against Wycombe.
Tyreeq Bakinson struck another goal-of-the-season contender as the Robins led by half-time at Adams Park, but this was undone in the second half as The Chairboys battled back to a 21 win. Speaking after the game, Nigel Pearson insisted there needs to be shared accountability and believes in improved team unity in order to turn results around. He expects 100% from his squad and the next challenge comes in the form of Luton, a side with high intensity and a competitive nature.
As for Luton, they looked by far more likely of the two sides to score in midweek, but were restricted to a goalless draw by playoff-chasing Reading. However, The Hatters are finishing the season in fine form and have claimed seven points from their last three league games. Their form has helped to propel them above the Robins in the Championship table to 12th, with a game in hand over their rivals in and around the mid-table places.
City’s form needs to change, whereas Luton head to Bristol in arguably better spirits. They’re unbeaten in their last three games, with back-to-back clean sheets too against promotion contenders Watford (1-0 W) and Reading (0-0 D) last time out. It has been a campaign of improvement compared to their 2019/20 run – Nathan Jones’ side have already surpassed their 51 points tally and look to finish higher than 16th spot, ironically the position and points the Hatters have to their name as things stand.

Bristol meet Luton having previously lost five of their last six league matches against the Hatters (W1), losing 2-1 earlier this season in the reverse fixture. On the other hand, Luton have won just one of their last 13 away league games against Bristol (D5, L7). Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
