Burnley host Arsenal at Turf Moor (Burnley) in the 27th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 12.30 pm (UK) on Saturday, March 6. Read our reasons for Burnley vs Arsenal prediction and betting tips.
Burnley crept a little closer to ensuring they stay in the Premier League again when drawing 1-1 with Leicester here on Wednesday. The Clarets are 15th in the standings and Sean Dyche could be pleased with the way his side recovered from a 4-0 drubbing at Tottenham even though Burnley have now scored more than once only twice in their 14 home games. As for Arsenal, the Gunners face an uphill battle to climb up into a European place, but recent efforts have definitely been more encouraging. Arsenal followed up a 3-2 Europa League triumph over Benfica by winning 3-1 at Leicester, despite going behind early on. They are in 10th place in the table ahead of the weekend, 7 points from Liverpool in 6th.
Burnley were unbeaten in four straight league matches prior to their trip to London, but they have been dreadful for at least a couple of weeks now as the injuries have been piling up again. Burnley are at their best when they take the game to the opposition and they have a chance to repeat the feat on Saturday against an Arsenal side that can be got at. The Clarets hope to get a much-needed cushion over the relegation zone with at least a point here.
Their Premier League point against Leicester was certainly a step in the right direction for the Clarets. An encouraging and positive performance could have yielded all three points were it not for some superb Kasper Schmeichel saves. The Clarets boss will hope to take that form into the weekend clash with Arsenal and the partnership of Chris Wood and Matej Vydra caught the eye as the pair caused problems for the Foxes backline and the partnership appears to have a bright future.
Meanwhile, Arsenal visit Turf Moor on Saturday with Arteta having yet to taste victory or see his side score a goal in the two meetings he's had with the Clarets as Gunners manager. The sides drew 0-0 in this fixture last season, while the Clarets were 1-0 winners at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the campaign. That victory came against 10 men after Granit Xhaka was sent off and Arteta is relishing another clash with the Clarets.
Arsenal are growing in confidence. Statement wins over Leeds and Leicester City have the Gunners looking up the table and another three points on Saturday could see them move above rivals Tottenham ahead of next week’s north London. Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are primed to return to the Arsenal team for their trip to Turf Moor. Having Aubameyang back scoring goals signals Arsenal’s return to form and they should be able to see this one through after a longer rest period.

Burnley meet Arsenal looking to complete their first league double over Arsenal since the 1962-63 campaign, following their 1-0 win at the Emirates earlier this season. On the other hand, Arsenal are unbeaten in their last eight away league games against Burnley (W4 D4), keeping a clean sheet in four of their last five. Their last league defeat at Turf Moor was in December 1973.
As much as we would like to think that Arsenal have turned things around, we are still not convinced that they could sustain the top-six push. Sean Dyche will set up similarly as against Leicester, so the BettingKick’s Burnley vs Arsenal prediction is: Both teams to score
