In the closing game of the 37th round of Serie A this Wednesday 29 July 2020 at 21:45 we will see Cagliari (3-5-2) facing Juventus (4-3-3) at the Sardegna Arena in Cagliari. The 14th team in Serie A will face the 1st one and new champion at the same time.
Cagliari is coming from 4 losses and 4 draws in previous 8 matches. In their previous match, they lost against Udinese at the home ground (Cagliari 0-1 Udinese). Judging by their recent results, it seems like Cagliari can not found the right way. It is not that they are just acumulating bad results but their play and motivation are on the poor level. We have saw 2 different Cagliari in this season, the first one fighting for a place in Europa League in the first half of the season, the second one giving enormous number of lucky points to their opponents in the second half of the season. The fact that they are safe and fare away from relegation position doesn't mean that they don't have to fight anymore. This time they will face a new crowned champions for the 9th time in a row, Juventus. This surely won't be an easy game, but they need to prove that everybody was wrong.
Their coach Walter Zenga knows he can count on his South American duo, composed by Brazilian forward Joao Pedro (18 goals and 4 assists in 35 appearances) and his Argentinian teammate Giovanni “Cholito” Simeone (11 goals and 3 assist in 35 appearances) to try to score. Cagliari has a chance to end this not so good season in the better way if they play good and achieve at least 1 point this Wednesday against a new champions.
As we take a look to they away team, we have Juventus who is coming from 2 victories, 2 losses and 1 draw in previous 5 matches. In their previous match, they won against Sampdoria at the home ground (Juventus 2-0 Sampdoria). Thanks to their last victory, they have become the Italian Champions for the 9th time in a row. This is also the first Serie A league victory for their coach Maurizio Sarri, who has never before won the most prestigious Italian trophy. They can now play more comfortable, without stress, and start thinking about the Champions League in August. But, the season is not over yet, so this means that they have to fight until the last game. This time the popular “Vecchia Signora” will fly to Sardegna island to face Cagliari. The biggest surprise of this game will be Federico Bernardeschi (1 goal and 1 assist in 27 appearances) who scored his first goal of the season in previous game, the left wing will play in forward with his teammate Argentinian Gonzalo Higuain (7 goals and 4 assists in 30 appearances) and Cristiano Ronaldo (31 goals and 5 assists in 32 appearances). Juventus won't give any discount to their opponents, they will go there to win not just celebrate.
This will be the 78th time these two teams will face each other. Juventus is leading with 40 victories, instead of Cagliari who has won 11 times. There are also 26 draws. In the first half of the season, Juventus won (Juventus 4-0 Cagliari). Judging by this stats, Juventus is favorite.

This game won't be full of goal chances by both sides. The season is over, both teams will play softly, specially Juventus who is going to play the UEFA Champions League in August. Both teams will be more defensive.
After all I said about those two teams, I rather say that Juventus will win this match, so my final bet is Juve to win.
Cagliari vs Juventus final result is going to be Cagliari 0-2 Juventus

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
