Cagliari is on a winless streak of five games and must fight a confident Udinese, who have won all December meetings with the Rossoblu in Serie A.
Only one point separates the two sides before Serie A Week 13, but the Rossoblu haven’t picked up a win in Serie A since November 7. Eusebio Di Francesco’s men host a confident Udinese, coming from three wins and three clean sheets in their last five games, including a 3-1 triumph against Lazio at the Olimpico. Cagliari, on the other hand, has conceded nine goals in their last five home games and are desperate to get back on track.
Parma and Cagliari shared the spoils at the Stadio Tardini, although the hosts will rue their wasted opportunities. It was an aggressive start from both sides, Juraj Kucka’s header and a Nandez strike forcing save, but when Osorio had the ball in the net, the offside flag had already gone up. Parma should’ve gone in front after 35 minutes, but Kurtic somehow blasted wide from 12 yards when set up by a Gervinho counter-attack. Giovanni Simeone came on for the second half and tested Luigi Sepe following a Bruno Alves error, while Riccardo Sottil’s effort was smothered. Roberto Inglese failed to make the most of another smart Gervinho pull-back, having burst past much younger Gabriele Zappa. Alessio Cragno got his gloves to another Inglese effort, again created by Gervinho on the counter.
Cagliari (4-2-3-1): Cragno; Zappa, Walukiewicz, Klavan, Lykogiannis; Marin, Rog; Nandez, Joao Pedro, Sottil; Simeone
Suspended: none
Injured: Ciocci, Luvumbo, Ounas, Tripaldelli, Farago
The Friuli haven’t lost in three away games in the top tier, winning back-to-back games by scoring three times. Udinese is breathing a sigh of relief after Rodrigo De Paul was cleared of a knee injury. The Argentina international was limping throughout the second half of Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Crotone, leading to concerns he was making the situation worse. Udinese tried to win the game, but Crotone seemed content with a point and wait for their chance on counters. Junior Messias forced Juan Musso to palm away a curling free-kick from the near top corner and Ignacio Pussetto had the ball in the net on 21 minutes, but only after he’d wandered offside on a floated Rodrigo De Paul pass. De Paul then went on the counter from the edge of his penalty area to set up Ilija Nestorovski, firing straight at Alex Cordaz.
Udinese was aggressive, Nestorovski testing Cordaz on the half-volley and Arslan blasting just wide from distance in the second half. Nahuel Molina fired another powerful but central effort straight at the Crotone goalkeeper, then he really should’ve done better moments later with a weak finish off the outside of the boot from 10 yards. Udinese had the ball in the net again on 68 minutes and for the second time, it was ruled out due to an offside position. Gerard Deulofeu burst into the box and rolled across for De Paul, but rather than shoot one-on-one from 12 yards, he just laid it off for Pussetto, and by that point, Cordaz and the Crotone defense had recovered their position to parry.
Udinese (3-5-2): Musso; Becao, Bonifazi, Samir; Larsen, De Paul, Arslan, Pereyra, Zeegelaar; Deulofeu, Pussetto
Suspended: none
Injured: Forestieri, Jajalo, Okaka, Nuytinck
On a yellow card: Becao

Cagliari and Udinese have met five times during December in Serie A, with the Friuli winning all of them and have always scored at least twice. Udinese not to lose this game is a good betting option.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
