Matchday 5 in La Liga brings a clash, Celta Vigo vs Cadiz. The game kicks off at Estadio de Balaídos (Vigo) at 8 pm (UK) on Friday, September 17, 2021. Read our reasons for the Celta vs Cadiz match prediction and betting tips.
The new season began with both teams' aspirations of victory fading as the season progressed. Celta's La Liga campaign got underway with a tough battle against top-tier opposition. Cadiz is also yet to earn a victory, but they are optimistic that they will do it in the upcoming match. Celta will play home to Cadiz, and both clubs, while appearing to be in poor condition on paper, will compete to see who is the superior team.
Celta may have been put through a rigorous test since the beginning of the season, having played four matches so far. Atletico Madrid, the defending champions, opened the league season against Celta Vigo, and as expected, the match ended in a 2-1 defeat for Atletico. In the second encounter, Osasuna held Celta to a scoreless draw. Athletic Bilbao came out on top by a sliver of a goal. Real Madrid hosted Celta in their most recent match on Sunday, and Benzema scored a hat trick against the visitors. Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 5-2 in the Champions League.
The fixture in Cadiz may be a little different, but the overall performance is bad. Four of the matches, against Levante, Real Betis, Osasuna, and Real Sociedad, resulted in a 0-0 draw (D, D, L, L). Although the fixture didn't appear to be tight for Cadiz, the team only managed an abysmal performance. Poor preparation on the part of Alvaro Cervera could lead to disappointment at the hands of Vigo on Sunday.
Celta Vigo has won six of their previous ten head-to-head games with Real Madrid while drawing two and losing in two of those meetings. Celta couldn't hold on to a 2-0 lead against Cadiz at home last season, sending them packing. Cadiz and Celta were held to a scoreless draw in the second leg. Those who are planning to attend Friday's game against Celta Vigo should take note of this important warning.

First and foremost, Celta is a dangerous team, particularly when playing at home. It won three games and lost two to Sevilla and Betis in the last five matches of the previous season. The fact that it has yet to secure a victory this season will serve as the impetus for obtaining one against Cadiz, the team's favourite. Cadiz has a lot to do on its journey to visit Celta at their home stadium. Bettingkick’s Celta vs Cadiz prediction is Celta to win or draw.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
