COVENTRY VS BIRMINGHAM MATCH ANALYSIS
The hosts, with their two wins, two draws, and seven defeats so far, are 21st in the table with 8 points. The newcomers kept only one clean sheet so far and conceded thirteen goals in the last five league fixtures. After losing four in five games, Sky Blues fans will be worried that they could see their side drop into the bottom three again after the weekend is over. As for Birmingham, they are 17th with 13 points and, just like their Friday’s hosts, had lost two games on the trot before the international break. The Blues showed they are no strangers to winning in rounds 8 and 9, and may use the break to pick themselves up.
Coventry have been missing from the Championship for eight years. Mark Robins, in his second stint at the club, did an excellent job of leading the team back to the second-tier, and he did so in style. For them, the biggest objective will be to stay up and anything better than that will be a bonus. Coventry still look like they’re trying to find their feet in their long-awaited return to the second-tier of English football, and will gladly take anything from the Birmingham match, after the most recent defeat to Watford (3-2).
In that match Ismaïla Sarr produced a late winner as Watford emerged on top from a wild second half with Coventry. It was their seventh defeat of the season and they remain only a point above the drop zone but had hope of an impressive win after producing a dramatic turnaround. In the end, the Sky Blues' defence again proved their undoing as they have now conceded 23 goals this season - the highest total in the division.
The opening day win against Brentford ended Birmingham's barren run of 17 games without a win in all competitions. Sadly, it was the first of only two wins they recorded this campaign. Aitor Karanka's side showed only glimpses of ambition and creativity so far, with a set-piece always looking their likeliest route to goal. Even though they are not losing that often, they desperately need points to build on their good defensive displays, which can, with a little bit of consistency, push them up the table.
In their most recent match before the international break they lost against Boournemouth at home (1-3). David Brooks' double helped Bournemouth move up the table after a comfortable win at Birmingham. Blues tried to force a second goal but did not manage to significantly threaten the visitors. It is understandable that this Birmingham side have been working together for only three months and that they are re-building, but they need to become more competitive on all levels.

Coventry is without injured trio Bartlett – Dabo – Jones, while Ireland international Shipley has been tested positive for COVID-19.
The hosts have found life difficult in the Championship, with the team collecting only 8 points from possible 33, and they head into the match following back-to-back defeats to Nottingham Forest and Watford.
The Blues, on the other hand, want to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to Wycombe and Bournemouth. Birmingham are more balanced team than Coventry City, and even though the likes of Clarke-Salter, Clayton, Jeacock, and McEachran are sidelined with injury, they will aim for maximum points.
BettingKick’s prediction for Coventry vs Birmingham match is: Over 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
