Coventry host Norwich at the St. Andrew's Stadium (Birmingham)in the 30th round of the Championship and the match kicks off at 7 pm (UK) on Wednesday, February 17. Read our reasons for Coventry vs Norwich prediction and betting tips.
The Sky Blues slipped to their 12th Championship defeat of the season against Cardiff on Saturday to suck them down to within three points of the bottom three. They come into this match without a win in their last four league games (D2, L2) and are lingering dangerously close to the relegation zone. As for Norwich, the Canaries are back at the summit after a 4-1 win against Stoke and after Brentford’s unexpected defeat against Barnsley at home. However, their closer followers, Brentford and Swansea have one and two games in hands, respectively. Every match is a must-win for the Canaries from now on, no matter who is on the opposite side.
The Sky Blues have been missing from the Championship for eight years and Mark Robins, in his second stint at the club, did an excellent job of leading the team back to the second-tier, and he did so in style. For them, the biggest objective is surely to stay up and anything better than that will be a bonus. They still look like they’re trying to find their feet in their long-awaited return to the second-tier of English football, but are currently safe from the drop.
However, the Sky Blues’ defeat at Cardiff has sucked them back into a precarious position in the league. Three poorly conceded goals proved too much for Mark Robins’s men to overhaul in a game that the manager described as their poorest performance of the season so far. And with top of the table Norwich up next on Wednesday night, swiftly followed by second-placed Brentford on Saturday, it’s clearly a difficult period for Coventry to negotiate their way through.
The Canaries, on the other hand, are determined to return to the Premier League immediately and will stick to their attacking style of play when they visit Birmingham next. Finland attacker Pukki remains their key player at the moment, and he is likely to prove a handful for the hosts in midweek. The Canaries had briefly lost their momentum in the league, but it can change so quickly in the second-tier that they are coming into this match as leaders after being replaced by Brentford for a week there.
Against Stoke, Teemu Pukki took his tally to 13 for the season with a double against the Potters as Norwich replaced Brentford at the top of the Championship with a 4-1 win at the Bet365 Stadium, their first victory in four league games. This was a timely return to form for Daniel Farke's side, after four games without a goal and a three-match winless run as they settled from the off into their fluid short passing game despite Stoke's enthusiastic press.

Coventry haven’t hosted Norwich for a league match since December 2010, losing 2-1 under Aidy Boothroyd. The most recent meeting between Coventry and Norwich was in January in the FA Cup, with the Canaries winning 2-0, while in the reverse fixture in the league they shared the spoils in Norwich on November 28 (1-1).
Coventry have won only one of their last five league games. Mark Robins' side have recruited smartly, but will be keen to ensure that they do not get dragged into a relegation battle. Meanwhile, prior to the Stoke match, Norwich have failed to score in their last three league matches, attempting 40 shots without success across those.
Their last five matches averaged under 2.5 goals and have seen only one team on the scoresheet, but it looks like they got their mojo back and it doesn’t bode well for the hosts and the BettingKick’s Coventry vs Norwich prediction is: Norwich win

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
