Crotone has certainly turned a corner under new coach Serse Cosmi and expects more of that fighting spirit against Bologna. Read our reasons for Crotone vs Bologna prediction and betting tips.
The Squali are still rooted to the foot of the table, but they beat a COVID-hit Torino 4-2 and were only narrowly defeated 3-2 by Lazio last week. It might be too late to turn the season around, but they can still go down with dignity. Serse Cosmi said Crotone approached the match against Lazio with ‘too much fear’ but left the Olimpico ‘bothered’ after a narrow 3-2 defeat. The Rossoblu arrived from a 4-2 win over Torino and Cosmi, who was suspended and sat in the stands for the third game since he took over, said the first goal conceded against Lazio was ‘avoidable’ before he saw his men bounce back twice through a brace from Simy. “We started with too much fear,” Cosmi told media after the match. “We conceded an avoidable goal despite [Sergej] Milinkovic-Savic’s beautiful finish. The ball was readable, a five-man defense should not have conceded that goal. In the difficult moment, Simy equalized, and we gained confidence.''
Cosmi stated that his defense must be better in the upcoming games. ''The second goal was a good finish by Luis Alberto, but against these teams, you can’t concede in this way. After the second equalizer, I didn’t see much, the match was heading for a draw. I didn’t see any particular danger. The regret is there.” Substitute Andrea Rispoli was close to scoring his first for Crotone, but the away side's third effort on target was stopped by goalkeeper Pepe Reina. “On the pitch, there are opponents and a great goalkeeper,” Cosmi said. “He [Rispoli] deserved to score only for [Adam] Ounas’ pass. But I don’t think the game should be reduced to that chance.”

Bologna is one of the most unpredictable sides in Serie A, lurching from impressive victories over Lazio and Sampdoria to Cagliari defeats and draws with Benevento. The injury crisis is easing and there is greater solidity in defense. Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic praised his players after a 'deserved' win against Sampdoria. The Rossoblu beat Samp 3-1 at the Dall’Ara. "We didn't do well in the first half, but we dominated the second half, we scored three goals and had other chances. It's a deserved victory," Mihajlovic told the media. "In the first half, I got angry because we were too slow and with little courage despite the result. We win, and we lose together, of course, someone plays better than others, but the important thing is that everyone gives the best. The hardest thing to train is the head. It all starts from there. We must put ourselves consistency and perseverance in what we do."
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Tomiyasu, Danilo, Soumaoro, Dijks; Svanberg, Schouten; Skov Olsen, Soriano, Barrow; Palacio
Suspended: None
Injured: Santander, Faragò

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
