Crystal Palace host Everton at Selhurst Park (London) in Premier League Week 3 on Saturday, September 26 and the match kicks off at 3pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Both Crystal Palace and Everton made brilliant start to their campaigns. The Eagles welcome Everton on the back of their best Premier league start ever with two wins - against Southampton on their home debut, and against Manchester United away last week. The will try to extend that run against the Toffees on Saturday.
Everton's two wins from the first two games are their best start of the season since 2012/2013, David Moyes' final season in the club. They comfortably defeated Tottenham on the opening day in London, and they put five behind West Brom last week at home. Without any doubt, there is plenty of early optimism at Everton and maybe they can increase that after another trip to London.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Crystal Palace look to build on their historical 1-3 win against Manchester United and they must be high on confidence ahead of Matchday 3. Palace ticked all the boxes against Manchester United. They were well-organized both defensively and in the attack. They kept United in front of them when they had a ball and were excellent on the counter, with Zaha scoring a brace. Palace are now in talks to sign Liverpool's forward Rhian Brewster and if it the transfer goes through, Zaha will have a young and lethal partner for his surging runs down the left. After ending last season with a whimper, Palace could not have done better over the last two weeks and now face an intriguing meeting with Everton, who are also going through an early renaissance.
As for Everton, Carlo Ancelotti named the same side against West Brom that defeated the Spurs, which meant home debuts for all three summer signings, Rodriguez, Doucoure and Allan. They weren't as good as in their opener, and the final score does not reflect their first-half performance when they struggled to break Brighton's defense. However, after Brighton ended with ten players on the pitch and manager Slaven Bilic saw a red card at half-time too, it was a different scenario when the match resumed. With his first career hat-trick, Calvert-Lewin is now a Premier League top-scorer and it seems like Ancelotti's class has finally started rubbing off on the team as well. The players came back more ambitious and motivated this season, but the hard work begins now and you can only focus on one game at a time, in this case, Crystal Palace away.

As for some facts and stats, looking back over the last decade, the two sides have played 14 times. The Eagles have won 2 and the Toffees have won 5 , while 7 ended in a draw.
Palace have kept 7 clean sheets in their last 20 home games and the visitors have missed the net in 6 of their last 20 away league games.
Crystal Palace's home games have seen 35% of their home matches ending with both teams scoring (W1-D2-L4), and Everton's percentage of their away games finishing with both teams scoring is little lower at 55% (W3-D6-L2)
Finally, when these sides have faced each other, there has been an average of 2.14 goals per game. Out of these, Crystal Palace have scored an average of 0.86 goals, while Everton have averaged 1.28.
With both teams starting the campaign brightly, I'm going to backtrack a little on this one and predict Under 2.5 goals.

Wyatt grew up in the suburbs of London and he is a big Chelsea fan. As a young boy, he found his love for football, which became an obsession, but when he tried playing it he soon realized that he just wasn't talented enough. Bearing that in mind, Wyatt decided to learn everything there is to know about all the teams and players, with special focus on Premier League and Championship . Wyatt has a big affection for Championship and he is well versed in all the teams and knows their advantages and weak spots very well. He is an economist, and being one makes him good with numbers and also good with the odds. His specialty are BTTS matches.
