Crystal Palace host Fulham at Selhurst Park (London) in the 26th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 12 pm (UK) on Sunday, February 28. Read our reasons for Crystal Palace vs Fulham prediction and betting tips.
Both Crystal Palace and Fulham will be hoping to move closer to safety when the pair lock horns on Sunday afternoon. Roy Hodgson's charges put the breaks on their nosedive down the Premier League table with a smash-and-grab 2-1 win at rivals Brighton on Monday, which propelled the Eagles up to 13th place in the standings, but more importantly, it moved Palace 10 points clear of the bottom-three. Meanwhile, Scott Parker's side gave their survival hopes a further boost with a hard-fought 1-0 win over relegation rivals Sheffield Utd last weekend after which the Cottagers appear to be the only side housed in the relegation zone that have a realistic chance of beating the drop.
Although they loiter down in 13th, Crystal Palace have never picked up more than their current haul of 32 points after 25 games in any of their previous Premier League (PL) campaigns. This is despite having one of the PL’s worst defensive records, with only West Brom conceding more goals ahead of this gameweek than Palace’s total of 43. Crystal Palace have avoided defeat in three of their last five home matches, but there’s been a fair few poor displays at home in recent times for Roy Hodgson’s men as they’ve conceded 3+ goals in half of their previous six PL home matches (W2, D1, L3).
Palace have scooped 9 points from the possible 15 in the last five games, but the latest Premier League win for the Eagles would have been the sweetest of the lot – a 90th minute winner from Christian Benteke enough to steal all 3 points against bitterest rivals Brighton. Crystal Palace were undeserved winners, but Roy Hodson won't care as no side in the top flight has more injuries than Palace right now, with at least 8 first-team players expected to miss out against Fulham, including the key man Wilfried Zaha.
Fulham, on the other hand, demonstrated that they are no pushovers recently, but they have been making a habit of being on the rough end of fine margins. While the Cottagers have tightened things up at the back, they’ll continue to struggle if they don’t create an attacking platform. Nine draws and two defeats by a single goal in their last thirteen fixtures prior to the Sheffield win suggest their battle against the drop will go right down to the wire.
Scott Parker's side indeed seem improved, but they still find it hard to win games - which is why they are still in the bottom three. However, their performances were finally being awarded with a win last Saturday. Indeed, Fulham have been toothless in attack this season, but we fancy them to breach a Palace backline that has kept just four clean sheets in 25 Premier League outings this season. Scott Parker will have earmarked this match as one to win and with a number of tricky fixtures to follow, they will set out to secure all three points on Sunday.

Crystal Palace meet Fulham having won each of their last three Premier League games against Fulham, including the reverse fixture at the Craven Cottage in October (2-1). However, Fulham are unbeaten in their last six Premier League away matches, although five have ended level (W1). They have never gone seven such matches unbeaten in the competition.
Both teams desperately need points here, but both have also been toothless in the attack for a while, so the BettingKick’s Crystal Palace vs Fulham prediction is: Under 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
