CRYSTAL PALACE VS LEEDS MATCH ANALYSIS
The Eagles are 10th in the table, one place below Leeds on goal difference. After two consecutive wins against Southampton at home (1-0) and Manchester United away (1-3) at the start of the new campaign, they followed it with two defeats - to Everton at home (1-2) and away to Chelsea (4-0) Since then they picked up a draw against Brighton (1-1), a win against Fulham (1-2) and most recently a defeat to Wolves (2-0).
Leeds put in a superb showing at Aston Villa (0-3) in the 6th round, ending their winning streak, as Patrick Bamford’s scored his first premier League hat-trick. The win pushed the Whites up the table to 7th, albeit shortly, as they slipped down to 12th, remaining at 10 points after a home defeat against Leicester (1-4). Just like their hosts, their record so far in the PL is: W3-D1-L3.
Palace’s best start to the season ever with two wins on the trot , including a historical 1-3 win against Manchester United, ended before they could have reveled in it for too long. The Eagles followed it with two defeats - against Everton and Chelsea – before they shared the spoils with Brighton. The see-saw results continued as they came with three points from a local derby against Fulham and lost to Wolves last week.
Crystal Palace arrived at Molineux looking to take 13 points from their first seven games of a Premier League season for the first time ever, with the added incentive of climbing into the top four. Despite their victory against Fulham last weekend, Hodgson's side were second best for much of the game and were lucky not to find themselves more than 2-0 down at the final whistle. Also, they will be without captain Milivojevic who was shown a red car for a reckless challenge on Mouthino in the closing stages.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side, on the other hand, is looking to establish themselves back in the Premier League, after a 16-year absence from English football's top flight. Their pressing is relentless and the opponents have had to work hard to respond to Leeds' intensity. Leeds ended Villa's winning start and ruined their chance of going top of the Premier League thanks to a brilliant Patrick Bamford hat-trick. The result lifted Leeds to third, albeit briefly - their highest position at the end of a day in the top-flight since September 2002.
However, they were next dismantled by Leicester at home as Youri Tielemans struck twice and Barnes and Vardy added two more for a final 0-4 routing. Leicester were sharp, ruthless and clinical, whereas Leeds looked shaky in possession and indecisive off the ball. The result leaves Leeds 12th going into the match against Crystal Palace.

These two sides last shared the league in 2012/13 season in the second division. They played 11 times against each other and the history is on Leeds’ side with 6 wins to Palace’s 3.
Since Roy Hodgson's first game in charge in September 2017, the Eagles have failed to score in 39 Premier League matches. Only rivals Brighton have done so more (40).
Only relegated Norwich City (14) have lost more Premier League games in 2020 than Crystal Palace (13).
Leeds have lost back-to-back home league games for the first time under Marcelo Bielsa, last doing so in March 2018 under Paul Heckingbottom.
